    Only PERFECT!s increase life gauge

It would make more sense if only PERFECT! hits increased the life meter. Simply put, this would prevent people from boowhoring. If you're any good at a song, you'll have far more than enough perfects to keep you from losing. (Because remember, goods and averages won't decrease the lifebar.) But, if you suck at a song, you won't be able to rely on goods and averages to keep you from failing.

    Why....?

Why does it matter if people just keysmash? They'll beat the song but so what? They're not going to get on the top 10, but it's a lot more satisfying to get through the song even if you had to resort to that.

Nah, i'd also like it that way, maybe a switch button to change it from those two, with two seperate top 10 scores.

Well, then i wouldn't beable to play anything harder than mario. I say fuck no to this idea. It's bad enough that I suck, i shouldn't be punished further for it.

i agree. i enjoy mashing away my frustration on FotBB. no way in hell i'd pass it w/o goods and averages increasing the bar. the only way to balance this, if it were implimented, would be to give no negative to the lifebar for hitting a boo, like in stepmania (where you aren't punished for hitting the wrong key, or the right key at the wrong moment).
