Is FC Overrated?

I just think that Full Combo is overrated and should be reconsidered whether a full combo is getting no boos and misses throughout the song or getting no misses throughout the song.

This has been pondering through my head along with a bunch of other FFR related topics that'll soon come out of my head and into the forums.

Not the way it shows up on the chart in the profile. It doesn't count it as an FC.

A full combo's a full combo. Boos don't break the combo, so therefore, hitting all arrows with a couple of boos is still an FC.

Of course you already know this, though, and are stating whether or not boos should break combo. IMO, they shouldn't, mainly because more of the talented players may slip and lose their combo, and having boos as a CB would be utmost annoying. Sure, this is beneficial for mashers in terms of ranking. But really, if the masher posts his/her score, everyone will know if it was mashed or not.

Eh, either way, boos shouldn't matter much in Third Style, considering combo will have less of an effect on the overall score.

FC overrated? Uhhhh.... what is it "rated" right now?

I was a masher for years and some of my mashed combos still hold ranks under 400 today. But in the end, a masher will never rank as high as somebody who has good accuracy. So, if somebody mashes, let 'em. I actually learned to play well when I discovered spread and the speed mod, so as a talented player who was once a masher, I know the difference in terms of score and rank. Mashed FCs can be tens of thousands of points off. Big difference.

Also, what do you mean overrated? If you brag FC on Free Space, yes, overrated. If you brag FC on Crowdpleaser, not so overrated.

I dig it.
FC's aren't quite that impressive for a spread player, but for an index player...that's a different story (Given there is no spamming). Same for one-handers.

I don't think boos should be in the game at all..

Like in SMMAX or DDR (If I remember correctly)

EDIT: Although there are technically "boos", you don't attain them the same way you attain them in this game..

Current FFR's boos aren't what they should be.

If boos are combobreakers for worse timing than averages/goods, no one can mash FC.

Play stepmania if it pisses you off since FC's on a majority of songs are expected
