but the tier points clickable line it the profile will be sweet + the real number of AAAd songs

Having our total number of tier points displayed in our profile would be cool, but the whole drop-down menu wouldn't really fit. I think it would look nicer to not have the menu, and instead you would just click on the tier points displayed and it would take you to the separate page we have now.

guys.... think about the site, and not just the forumgoers....


you figure that, what, 10-15% of users have even a single FC? And maybe 3-5% have any kind of AAA? So already those 2 bars in your profile are only for the top people on the site...

to get a TP, you have to be able to FC with good PA at least a high 8. That has gotta be less percentages of users than AAAs... so you're looking at 1-2% of people finding this useful?

Even in the tournament, with all the top players participating... just about 50% of the people in the tournament had 0 TPs. and you gotta assume the majority of casual players didn't signup for it.

I'm sure we could run a query and see how many users have at least 1 FC, 1 AAA, and 1 TP... but, think about those things... these suggestions are cool for the forumites, who are the hardcore users... but aren't useful to the majority.


then again, that isn't to say we won't or can't do this. just showing you the other side.

For the reason above this feature should probably just be an option that you could enable under Gameplay Stats - Style Editor, or elsewhere if the admins so choose. By default it would be turned off so it would be a non-issue for the newer players. I like this idea, I think it would greatly benefit experienced players and help motivate newer players.

This would be a good idea, or the pulldown menu could just show when you highlight the tier points bar or click on it. Clicking elsewhere or moving the mouse away could make the menu disappear.

Yeah. I like this feature Idea. As I'm going to be getting a Tier point soon! ^^ Hopefully the Max Forever ('20 or less' and 'FC' at the same time.)

how many players have above 1 tier? i bet like in the hundreds and rising

its not that difficult really all the mechanism is already running in the tier stat page only jump that single line info to the profile + show/hide option
every one is a beginner .. at the beginning..

everything needs to be profile oriented well most
while i say that region rank in profile also looks sweet

Then by this logic, aren't the FC and AAA gauges also not really necessary? If only that many members actually use those features, then remove them too (if I'm following the logic of not implementing this, Tass).

The thing is, for people who actually have FCs / AAAs, it's really nice to see a count. I suppose it would be nice to see a Tier Point count too.

Although I must admit, I am a little biased in saying that this wouldn't really be a useful feature because Tier Points are sort of..... like..... pointless. I'm sorry, but between looking at somebody's AAA count and their average rank, you can sort of assume what the Tier Point counter puts into a number..... that the player is "really good".

Anyway, if we're gonna have Tier Points, then this isn't a bad idea.
