I've edited one that was lower down a lot. anyway, I think that this thread should be moved to chit chat, since it wasn't really a valid suggestion in the first place.

No, you place threads based on what the purpose of the thread was. If they feel that it was something decent to talk about, they put it in chit-chat. If it's something to maturely debate about, point towards Critical Thinking. If it's a picture of your 16-year-old sister dancing while intoxicated, try The Garbage Bin.
