Scoring bug...

Uhh, this has happened a few times now. It happens similar to how it is in the picture.

I have now FC'd this song many times now yet it doesn't register it gives me a very very low combo score and a completely off score. I don't know why, but it's getting annoying because it has only registered a couple times.

I had a very good score the miss was within the first 25 arrows and look what happened.

If you want something like this to be fixed you need to provide much more info.

What kind of computer?

What kind of Browser?

Did you do anything odd while the score was counting up?

Anything you can think of that would trigger this behavior?

The counting up is annoying...but I never had that problem.

Note: if you "try again" when it is still counting, the counting keeps going a while. And bugs other stuff.

I IM'd the info. Ask me if you need any more. Yeah, its real annoying. Takes too long on songs you don't care about, too.

I also have been noticing a problem with the scoring that I've noticed with Version .65
The Number counting isn't a bug- it's just semi-annoying; but there does seem to be a problem with how the scores read.

Example, and I will try to get a picture of this if I can:

I was playing Terror from Beyond just a few moments ago, my top score for the level was said to be in the 410,000 area.
After finishing the level my score was calculated at a 447,000 (not exact obviously). but in place of that being in my new top score it says I have a top score of 502,000.
I played the level 2 times, once scoring something pretty low, and that's where I saw my highscore as 410,000 then the second time playing is when I got
the 470,000 and noticed the "bug."

*I am unaware of what my high score on this level was before I played today, but I know it was higher than 410,000. I play this level quite a bit and do pretty well at it (scoring about 450,00- 550,000)*

I also met a problem with the Max Combo bug you mentioned in your Front page post. I was playing Funk in G and got a few combos in the 100 range and got another in the 200 range (237?) anyway, when I finished the level It calculated my Max combo at 119. (Which was my first big combo, coincidentally).

I didn't clear my cache.
I loaded FFR just fine no problems.
I run Windows XP.
Internet Explorer 6.0

I hope you guys get everything running smoothly; you always have in the past.

Yeah that's what this problem is.

Running Windows XP with IE 6.0 on a HP Pavilion 763n (2.53 ghz runs so beautifully ).

It has to be the version itself and I think it's directly related to that real annoying ticker that puts your score on the score screen. It's now my mortal enemy.

More confirmation of the scoring bug. Though, if it does help, my first miss did happen after around 61 arrows..

My computer is a Pentium 3 (don't know the processor speed), running Windows 98 and Internet Explorer 6 with Flash 7.

Yeah it's happening to almost everyone I've talked to.

I just passed hellbeat, my combo at the end of the song was 68, but my max combo at the end of the song was only 54. So it seems like it's a bug with recording the combo that you finish the song with

Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it's not true. It's already been stated that it doesn't ALWAYS happen that the max combo is misreported. It's been known to happen mostly with FC's, which would be the combo you end the song with. It also happened with the combo I ended the song with, even though it wasn't an FC. My suggestion that it's a problem with recording the combo at the end of the song is logical. Doesn't mean it's right, but it's logical.
