now that the rank thing's fixed...I have a couple complaints...
This is kinda dumb considering I have absolutely nothing that makes me deserve to be #5...maybe #20 or 30, but not 5.

When I go into MP, there's nobody near my lvl, so I can't move, and any matches I play are utterly pointless, to all but my running total.

It's not entirely rare for me to see a lvl 18 or 20, but even though they are very close to me skill wise, the matches are still pointless.

So when I enter multiplayer, and don't see any "fellow" lvl 30s, I tend to leave and play single, just because you can play more in a shorter amount of time.

So generally, the MP ranking system doesn't allow me to affect, or be affected by other players, who still continually duck out of matches just because I'm a higher lvl, and is therefore...not too much fun.

I'm sure the system is great for players in the middle of the MP ladder...but for those of us who want to move from the top, whether down or up, the system has made play were unexciting, since most of it hardly matters.

I can't think of any way to improve the system...other than possibly restarting the rankings,so everyone can fight their way up to where they deserve, so some people (including myself) would be in the position they really deserve.

Does anyone else have a better idea...cause the system seems logical, but when there's nobody on who can challenge your position, it kinda loses it's excitment.

Have you even read the main page? We are working on a "matchmaking" system where you are automaticly matched against someone of your skill level. That means no one can duck out of matches, and there will always be someone around your skill level to play.

yeah, I've heard about it, but maybe I'm misunderstanding something...

how's there always going to be someone at your skill level...does it just take the closest person available? I'll do some research.

Yes, when you go into matchmaking, it will automaticly match you with someone that is your level, or +2/-2 of your level. This will make the skill level that goes along with the ranks much smoother.

So I can assume the lvls won't have like only 3 players in the lvl 40 range, because chances are...2 of them aren't going to be on at the same time.

BTW...thanks for all the responses...makes me feel noticed

                It's what I do

And to answer your question, it will take people much longer to get to the level 40 range than the current system. With the current system, we had a glitch that made it so when you were lvl 28+, you gained max XP. Usually the average player will level out around 15 - 20, with advanced to expert players settling down around 25-30 (Of course this doesn't mean you won't get some level 40+, but it's just my gustimation)
