I like a credit multiplier for AAA scores only. This way you can't whore Excite Bike for credits (just as before), encourages new players to go for PA on the songs they can do, and provides a little extra satisfaction on top of nailing that one part you could never get before.

I do, however, support the idea of a "longest perfect streak" counter for veterans only. "Hey, I AAAed up to 550, that's an improvement."

You want credits to play the new Secret songs? Improve your timing, biznatch.

Wasn't it some of the better players who were complaining about there being too many credits as-is? When in actuality there aren't too many credits at all -- rather the credit distribution is skewed.

So wouldn't this idea just make that problem worse since it'll reward the better players with even more credits so they'll have even more they don't know what to do with?

I still think credit distribution should be evened out more, if anything, not skewed further.

I'm very much in favor of more ways to earn credits. Just not a way that's essentially going to give most credit reward to the people who generally value them the least.

Heres a idea. 1.3x number of credits for a AAA. Most people won't repeat AAAs all day, but it'd be a nice boost for those who manage to grab the AAA.
This will severely inflate the credits produced by whoring.

9 times out of 10 if someone is good enough to whore a song over and over for AAA's (a song that is fairly difficult and yields a decent amount of credits) I would almost bet anything that they already have everything or nearly every achievement in the game, at which point credits would be useless for them. Let's use you as an example: You're one of the most skilled players on the site and have a crapload of AAA's, but there's no way you could continuously play a hard song over and over and AAA it every time. No one can do that. Mistakes happen whether its lag, a slip of your finger, or being off by a quarter of a second, etc. And since you only get extra credits for a AAA you're really not gonna make that much more. Oh and it's not like 1.3 is the magic number, I think he just used that as a possible multiplier.
