Just download a torrent of an XP .iso (google it) and then burn it on a CD/DVD, and then boot from the disc and do a repair. Should fix it.

That's where common sense comes into play. Pick the one with the most amount of seeds and leeches, and read the comments on the torrent to see if people report it as being fake or not. And make sure you download the right architecture (x86 or x64, meaning 32 bit or 64 bit)

format: Remove windows and anything else on a hard drive
hard drive: place where all files go
seeds: people helping the torrent
leeches: people sucking off of the torrent
torrent: huge file that you can download using a torrenting program like uTorrent
reinstall: uninstalling a program and installing it again.

edit: get the torrent and put it on a disc, format the drive with windows on it, reinstall windows with the disk you just burned. Simple.

OK this is my first official outside the box experience with computers so I really don't wanna screw this up and lose everything. I have Utorrent downloaded. Any recommendations as to where I can find a torrent for winxp or what to look for in order to know that I'm downloading a reliable torrent? I obviously have to backup all my drives right? Other than that, what else would be nice to back up? And also, do I back these up on a disk or what?
