    You have to remember that these were files made at least several months ago, and so they're not necessarily reflectant of the author's current stepping right now. A few months ago, these were favorable files, and there wasn't any big discussion on change. But more recently, as you may recall, there were calls for people to step files like the old days of 2004-2008 or so. There was a huge thread on reminiscing about "old style stepping" and a backlash against technical files.

    Just remember that the files you're getting now are several months in lag.

    Now this I despise.

    This shows that you guys are spoiled and can't appreciate the efforts put into the steps, especially those who have't stepped before. You don't have to like every song, but to apply the word "fun" as if your definition was the only one that had meaning is selfish.

    Years ago, songs were released on no regular basis...maybe bi-monthly or less at times. Please try to appreciate what you have. Try stepping yourself if you haven't already.

        I understand that. I'm not judging your stepping based on these recent files as well. You are definitely one of my favorite step artists, so even there was a handful of files that don't please me, it doesn't change my opinion of what you have done in the past.

        I have picked up stepping recently (still learning) and I'm trying to balance technicality with fun in my files, but for some reason many of the judges tend to emphasize technicality over fun (again this is probably selfish of me to say that). Most of my reviews get claims like "misrhythms" when half of the time, I know that, but it was stepped this way to attempt to make the file more "fun". I am still trying my hardest to put a bunch of "fun" files for the next batch, hoping to appear in the game one day (already have one sitting in my computer and working on two more at this moment). My Passage D file barely got in queue because of technicality issues, which was a slap on my face for attempting to piece a "fun" file for FFR. I am kind of expecting to get the same ratings with the files I have based on how the files are being judged.

        And I apologize about posting a comment that wasn't intentionally made to be offensive. I was only stating my opinions. Sorry that you had to take that the wrong way :/

                  Camel is what made me laugh at my rating of 5+/1/2/2 when others are saying that it's one of the strangest files which people aren't used to playing lol, it also has to do with how the files are judged

                  A good amount of it also has to do with bursty files..... Difficulty spikes can make a file more interesting, I can agree with Arch0wl on that, but Camel kind of takes it far.

                    Re: New Songs: Jun 1st, 2011

                    Camel - great song choice as usual. File was okay. Really liked the hand/quad usage in some places (near the end, for example, with the yellow ones), but felt that they were overused in others. The 64th minitrills bothered me a little bit, especially the one followed by a hand. I personally think [34]21 (64ths) would've fit that part better, even if you had to replace the hand with a jump. ^^;
                    Other than that, keep up the awesome work, bmah; you're doing a lot for FFR's song collection!

                    Homosexual Love Scene - I see you edited the file a little bit after you got me to test, Jeff =P
                    To be very honest, I liked the rough draft version a bit more in some sections (especially in the first half). I did like how you made the last part a bit more dense though. The middle section is absolutely fantastic, and so is your ACA !_!
                    One of the best 9's yet; can see myself replaying this in the future.

                    Sleet - Silvuh's on a neat file streak, marf!
