The whole issue of divisions and people being in the wrong divisions, and half the entrants being eliminated after the first round stems from the fact that any other reasonable tournament would just have a series of qualification rounds, and only the people who currently compose D5 or D4/5 would even get IN.

When you let in everybody who wants to take part, you get a huge percentage of people who have absolutely no realistic chance to win anything, in any division. That people don't seem to get that, and get upset about it is one of the things that makes being involved in running it so frustrating.

A competition is a competition. It's meant to show the best of everyone, and it includes AAA da whole sh*t. Just sayin'.

Perhaps allow other people that the admins pick to run the tournament and then have the admins dish out the prizes (most likely credits/vROFL)?

There's also no reason why, in general, we coudln't occasionally pony up prizes for a sufficiently large-scale user-made tourney that looks like it will be successful.

Up to the staff, and if they do allow us to give out the vROFL tournament, it sure as hell won't be a huge amount of places.

Doesn't mean we can't dream, but it probably won't happen.

I know it's a longshot and vROFL is supposed to be super rare and only given out like once a year but I think in the case of huge tourneys it should be given out.

but i also doubt it will happen.

Give vROFL to top 1 of each division, among those who don't have it already.

If #1 in D5 already has vROFL and #2 doesn't, give it to #2
