Re: Worst batch of new songs?
I personally find songs such as RATO quite difficult, but only because it is a problem of reading. I can do fine on 240 bpm JS on SM, yet FFR kind of gets annoying at 220+. The issue in my case would be the difficulty of reading the arrows on FFR opposed to those on SM. The arrows are thick and the speedmods not always exactly fitting to users. I would personally very much enjoy the new subbie mods considering 1.75x remains too slow yet 2.0x too quick.
I am sure that for most SM regulars, if they played the file on SM, would not find it to be a problem for them to MA/combo/read it. FFR makes the game much harder than it should be because the thickness of the arrows sticks them close together and so FFR sucks when it comes to reading dumps of arrows. Sure, RATO may be perfectly in pitch with the song, nonetheless if FFR makes it difficult to read, surely many people will complain (which I believe is already the case).
But I suppose these types of obstacles are always overcome with time and sooner or later, people will just get better, or certain updates will make the game easier.
Not sure if the latter is a good or bad thing.
