    Re: Lag and Tokens

I have 2 gigs of ram and my computer still lags once in a while, so if you got a bit more ram than you'd probably be better off (I lag mainly to the fact that I have 8 other processes running on my computer at the same time as playing a FFR song most of the time). The tokens... just go the the token section and look at the hints and crap... I'm not that good at finding them either.

if you aren't, i'd recommend playing FFR in either IE7 or FireFox 3 Beta 5. FireFox 2 seems to not handle FFR well for many people.

Also, don't run keycounting programs like WhatPulse. Oh, and lowest quality + low res helps me a LOT. Annoying when you want to screenshot your scores though, makes them virtually unreadable.

I get lag because I have 40-50 tabs in Firefox at any given time + only 768 MB of RAM. I'll live with it for now.

If you check Alt+ctrl+del for random crap processes that are sucking up RAM. Often my computer starts up two or three firefox.exe when I click the shortcut, I start getting massive lag and have to go into the task manager to squash them myself.

I don't know a lot about Windows XP, but I think if you go to msconfig there are hidden spyware programs that run in the background that you can disable there. That might help with some lag issues.

EDIT: Oh, just read your other post - RAM for sure, get a gig or 2 of RAM.

Well, besides random site finding, there is another way to find tokens, but banage is possible from someone telling. But i'm sure youll find out how. As for lagging, when ever a moving banner or pop up comes, it's likely to happen, and completely normal. Reduce missing notes by simply trying to remember the song.

I've got to where I can plan a few songs without lookig. ^ ^

Okay so I added 512MB to my 256MB, but when I go to My Computer's properties it still says I only have 256MB. Why is that? This is the first time I have started up my computer since I installed the 256.
