I think you can also use left down 8 and 6 without remapping keys.

Personally I use dfkl.

There isn't any location on they keyboard that will make you suck less. Just practice a huge amount. Play songs that tire you out, over and over.

Whore whore whore the songs for at least 2-4 hours a day for 5 months. That'll help.

Check your level rank to see what song is on the bottom of the list. Play that song. Then play the next song. And then the next. Doesn't matter if you get 100 boos or misses on it, or if you can't pass it. The point is to beat your previous rank. You'll notice slowly, you'll be able to do better and better at songs you've played before.

Also, try not to mash, or hit boos. Doesn't matter if you fail, just... try your best to get a hold of the patterns that the arrows make.

yea basically just mess around with it for hours a day
thats all i do
and even them im not that good =\
but what ever and yea, i agree with most of the people on here you could always remap the keys but the best thing to do is try things out and find out what works for you
oh yea also try speeding the arrows up a little if your finding it difficult to read them

there should be a few pointers also.

Play whichever way is most comfortable for you. Practice certain songs that you like that aren't too hard and work up to that AAA. Then move on to other songs. If you can't AAA then at least FC some songs before moving on to others. Good luck, have fun, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Practice a lot.

That's really the only thing that'll help...

Playing SM a bit and putting your speedmod to a higher setting might help too, once you get used to them.
