Have done much better on this (both PA and combo) but my left middle finger is dying on me. I just finished this out for completion's sake -- I'm seriously taking a break now.

I think ieat has me beat on CP -- can't seem to pass 1210+ Perfects, gahhhhh.

The funny thing is...on that particular run, I had two random goods -- one in the opening jumpstream (LOL) and another in the left-handed 32nd trill. It actually should have been 1213p.

I figure the optimum (practical) PA would be ~1214p, since getting the perfects at the end of the supertrill is usually incredibly difficult, and it's ridiculous getting all possible perfects on the bursts (+the rest of the song, to boot).

CP is all I have, hehe. XD

ieat: Yeah I find that getting the Perfects in the supertrill is very hard -- the stuff in the latter part can only be had as Goods/Averages at best, and I usually end up maintaining that pattern, so I lose out on 2 Perfects. Then I usually blow the PA a bit in the bursts. Not sure how you do it lol, 1210+ is hard to get.

dont forget that a miss is the same as a good or average. that's likely very important for CP.

A good rule for PA'ing CP is -- don't av-miss on any PFC'ble jacks; concerning perfect count, risking a (good/perfect) is always better than getting (average/miss).

iirc on my 1211 run, for avoidable non-perfects I had 1g in the opening jumpstream, 1g in the left-handed trill, 1g at the end of the first burst, 1a/1m in the middle of the second burst, and 1g at the end of the second burst. (figures might not be accurate, though)

Thing is I can minimize my misses in the megatrill but at the expense of getting too many Averages and Goods that detract from my Perfects. If I save 6 misses I gain at LEAST 8-10 averages

Lol...getting stuff on the supertrill (excluding the preceding 32nds) doesn't matter for perfect count. Everything is a 2-framer or lower, so getting perfects isn't even possible. You could purposely miss the entire trill, making sure just to hit the following 16ths, and still essentially end up with the same PA. The only problem is that intentional misses damage your pre-total score.

No there are a few sections where you can get Perfects before the trill kicks in -- I usually have to start getting my Averages going right around here so I can get a steady pace.
