    If something is or is not an element of a particular set then this is symbolised by \in and \notin respectively. So, with respect to the sets defined above:

    * 4 \in A and 285 \in F (since 285 = 17² − 4); but
    * 9 \notin F and \mathrm{green} \notin B.

    good, but that is not pre-calc, that's calculus because my dad taught me some calculus, pre-calc is a form of honors trigonometry, not calculus, and good for you, but your older than 14

      I'll let this thread take care of itself.

        In normal communities, it is taught in geometry. In pre-cal, we have to know that to solve different types of equations.
        P.S. That is nappy time class.
        P.P.S. I have an A in that class still.
        shows how much you know, they DON'T teach that formula in geometry, anywhere in the US, because that isn't even taught in pre-calc, its taught in college level calculus, I just asked my Dad about it, so now I proved that YOU are lying and YOU are a jackass who lies about himself to make others feel bad, the world would be a much better place without people like you.

          Have fun thinking that.

          Edit: You bore me. Off to do something else maybe.

          Double Edit: Also, I didn't say we had a whole unit around that or anything, just saying we learned it to do things with it.
          Ok, back to boredom.

            the first thing, yes, the formula I stated above, no, they did not teach you it and to so prove me otherwise tell me what you plug in as the n

                  I don't know. That was always given to us.
                  Told you we never went into a whole unit about it.

                    RETARTED MOVE

                    Telling your best friend you passwords is retarted in the first place. If they're not suppost to go on it just don't tell them. Also what he did wasn't that big but was still a violation. He shouldn't be banned but all you need to do is refrain from doing such retarted acts again.
