What you said is true (I trimmed the quote), but you wouldn't have to cross your hands. Reverse the pattern -- use your left hand on the number pad and your right hand on the arrow keys. I suppose left hand on 4 and 2, right hand on up and right would work. I've tried it before and while I don't have the patience and desire to learn how to play with two hands, it may work for you or others. Of course, you need to have/activate the number lock so that pressing it once keeps it on, because you don't want to constantly have to press Fn+letter to get a number pad key, but as long as you can do that, maybe you can try this option for two-hand play without using an extra program to remap keys.

I play on a laptop also. I like it though because the keys dont stick out far like on other computers. It helps me do good on the fast songs where as on a regular keyboard its a big slop.

          LEMMY RULES ALL!!!

The only problem I ever had with playing with two hands on the arrow keys on a laptop is that sometimes my wrist would hit the right click button on the mouse or the side of my hand would touch the right side of my mouse and scroll down (or up) the page. Most newer laptops have it so that on the right side of the mouse pad or pressure graph, whatever you call it, has a scrolling feature.
That's cool Mario, but how come whenever you eat mushrooms, everything gets bigger but your dick?

New songs will be added to my Myspace music soon.
Hopefully I can make a song that lands in FFR.

Put your lefthand middlefinger on "z", put your lefthand index finger on "x". Put your righthand index finger on ".>", put your righthand middlefinger on "/?". That's spread. You download a program that maps the keys you want (in this case, the zx./) to become other keys when performed (in this case left down right up)

                  Deactivate your touchpad.
A lot of laptops, like mine, have a button where you can just turn off your touch pad and turn it back on, or just move your mouse far away it you were talking about a mouse. Look at the F1-12 buttons and see if there is one with a crossed out box on it, like mine F9. Due to my spread, I don't have to worry about the touchpad, woo autohotkey. :]
