Old-school rap? Never heard it. But I can say I've never heard a single hip hop/rap song I've liked.

I think it is trite that you blanket statement what you like and don't like. I just like good music, and the only thing I can't stand hearing is garbage from people with no talent, doesn't matter what genre it comes from. Rap, punk, ska, rock, electronic, country, whatever.
The only style that is absolutely retarded is white noise because that isn't even music, and if you know what that is then I pity you, as I pity myself right now.
If everyone branched out more and listened to only good music we could get rid of all those crappy bands out there.
