Probably worse than getting banned too.

I mean, take a look at Arch. He was banned and he eventually made his way up to admin before going insane and leaving.

However, I have yet to see any person asking to be mod be modded. And if any mod comes in here and says "well I once asked to be mod and look where I am now!" I have only one thing to say to you. **** you.
