I've been told laptop keyboards are great for speed. I guess accuracy is a big no though. =\ I want to try on one anyway

the dell keyboards dont register a lot of the jumps in o2jam so i have to get a new one. they're fine for SM/FFR though.

the best keyboard for FFR is the one where u need only gently tap the button and it registers an arrow. the sound soo soft that you car barely even make it out...

thats true nitro because you have more speed and more stamina that way. My keyboard is the typical black Dell one that came with my dimension desktop. it's not bad, i have no complaints. Registry is sometimes bad, especially for jacks (*cough a lil plates rondo cough*)

Dell Keyboard you have to tap hard, but it does sound cool. I dunno I don't like it a whole lot.

I play SM on it, but I type with an ergonomic keyboard.

Coincidently, the Dell QuietKeys seem to be loudest. My standard Dell Keyboard makes less noise then they do. It does'nt sound cool though, it just blocks out the music.

If we're talking FFR, then you want something with big buttons, or normal size for that matter, unlike laptops or laptop size keyboards, where the arrows are tiny, or don't have a numpad...

If we're talking about SM, which means you can reconfigure the keys, I'd say any keyboard will work fine, personally I like my laptop sized one, cuz the keys are lower, unlike a standard keyboard, and also a keyboard that will recognize 3 or more keys at the same time, AKA, when doing a freeze of a single or double step, you can also at the same time hit another single or double step and have it actually recognize... Some people think that allows easier buttonmashing or some crap, but when it comes to stepfiles that have 64th steps, first file coming to mind is the version of AIR that has only one heavy difficulty, and that short staircase patter that happens three time, is almost close to impossible to do, because the keyboard wont register all the keys that fast... But yeah...

That's my opinion on things.

I've played on maybe 2 keyboards that I find good. Every other one pisses me of because I can't get any speed on them.

PS: I have the best keyboard for SM. It doesn't have a brand.

I use a logitech media keyboard, and I am the ownerer, thus this keyboard must be pretty good. Registers QWE IOP well, numberpad registers very cleanly. The arrow pad doesn't register as well as the number pad, but the arrow keys are super light and very slidey, which is the reason behind a lot of my really good index score.
