4 or 5, I can FC most songs but my PA sucks.

Heh. Well, this is kind of what I said about how do you define "good". Since the original poster is leaving it up to us to define, we're each going to have our own definitions and viewpoints. You're apparently using a fairly strict definition, with a 10 being someone who can perfect combo almost everything. I was using something looser, more like just being able to pass high difficulty songs is good enough to get near a 10 -- you can get through the levels I currently have no hope of passing. Maybe when I can pass the high level songs, I'll change my definition.

P.S. -- My average score per game, going by our stat sigs at the moment, is a little higher than yours and I rated myself lower. See, it's all a matter of what you consider "good".

That's like me. When i started off, i sucked really bad. Only improved after i got stepmania, and this was after 250odd games of crap.

Right now i'm about a 6. Hardest difficulty i can do well is challenging. Otherwise i can pass but it's a pitiful effort.

8-9... prolly like an 8.6 on FFR.. more like an 8 on stepmania... people like nima, reach, linus, etc... are the 10s... then the origamikids, bandicoms, fusions, kilga, evilpeer, etc.. are the 9s... and i'm in the tier right below them.

Yup, my current average score per game is only about 250k. At this rate, I should hit 200 million before 1000 games, but not by a whole lot less. That's partly because I'm trying harder levels now and not doing very well. If I just wanted points, I could go back to playing easier songs that I can do better on. But I want to be able to play more and harder songs so I'm not too focused on the points. Of course, I didn't rate myself a 6 either though.

BTW, what is it about StepMania that helps so many people get so much better? I've got it now (the newest version runs for me) and it is pretty good, but where's the big advantage? More and different games to play for more practice? Better synchronization/timing? I just don't see the connection, it's basically the same game.
