Easy, want to practice stamina/jumpstream, grab the Nuclear Blast packs.

    Speed or bursts, Mina packs.

There are others I'm sure but those were off the top of my head.

The perfect practice song is one that pushes you in whatever skill you want to get better at (or just in general) that you enjoy playing.
The moment you start trying to min/max your "practice schedule" or whatever and turn FFR into a fucking job is the moment you lose sight of what will keep you coming back to actually play more.

Double Post because apologies to LordCarlos for ruining the integrity of this thread because of nonsense RB shitposting. Continue with the discussion because I want to learn what constitutes FFR having perfect practice songs.

Uh, in regards to practice songs I've been trying to get a good score on Queen of Bootlegs for months. Just play songs you find challenging/fun and you'll improve naturally. If people are going to bring up other games like stepmania why not take it a step further and play a real game like O2jam!!

Can you play 4k on O2Jam? I honestly don't know so if you have the answer do tell!

O2jam is only 7key, but I think it's easier to learn more keys and holds when you're just starting. My other point was it's silly to answer his question by telling him to play a different game.

                      Re: The Perfect Practice Songs

guitar vs piano helps when starting out. it's pretty consistent and can help both one and two handed players

when i started out i worked on streams a lot. increasing your reading speed is important. like i feel that you can get finger stamina from a lot of other places but unless you come from another rhythm game your reading speed will need to improve a lot to play the harder stuff.
like play CnB songs if you can do 40s-50s that's basically what you want to be doing

also if you're really really new then as hi19hi19 said having fun is a good strategy. you'll hit a wall if you're not enjoying yourself.

You don't practice on FFR; you practice on SM and then play FFR and just profit from the skillboost.

That being said, only low divisional players feel that practicing on FFR will actually result in a skillboost.
I definitely agree with this 100%. I'm a low-division player and looking at other people D1-D3, I have noticed a lot of this.

                            1) I forgot about GvP, that is a great song to practice on imo. If you want to work on different sides of your setup, M.A.M.A using mirror/non mirror to switch which side the chart is on helps if that's what you are looking for.

                            2) Hi19's piece of advice is easily the best anyone could give besides specific songs that correlate to different playstyles/skill sets.

I don't think I ever practiced anything on SM.

I agree with h19, just play songs you enjoy playing and play charts that push your limits that you will also enjoy.
