After rereading the FFR site-wide rules thread, such a rule was not listed, or even hinted at.

So until an admin says otherwise and updates FFR the Game rules, I wouldn't say it'd be fair to punish anyone for it. Especially considering several threads of this type have been made recently without a hitch (ie: mod/admin retaliation).

it's not a rule. I've handed out credits in public close to 20 times already and not even been given a warning or a ban.
