Kicking his ass is inevitable. He knows he's gonna get 2 stocked a couple times yet he's pulling off this "i'm as good as you attitude". You're good bynary. But the difference in our skill is clear like i've stated many times.

And afro on the matter about using a strong character. Pikachu is a strong/good character.

The match up wasn't in my favor. I couldn't get through his defenses, and the kills I got on him were due to him slipping up and letting me in. Most of the time he was shooting beams and gyroscopes at me, and smashing me if I got close, before I had a chance at touching him. My only range attacks were weak/useless. If I tried aerial down attacks on him, he'd get me with ROB's crazy jet up smash, if I tried aerial forward or back, he'd catch me with either a forward or down smash.

The only thing I managed to pull off relatively well was when I got him in the air (by down smashing when he mistakenly dodged in the wrong direction, and my smash actually worked correctly), I could get my thunders in on him. If I tried thunders on the ground, he'd just always dodge away.

Overall, I'd say that I'd have to be someone with a similar reach or simply greater speed to fair well against a competent ROB player. Someone that can get in hits from a distance and has a strong length with a faster cast time on smashes.

And I don't see how Pikachu could be considered strong when he's so much weaker than he could be. In N64, I could do so much more with his neutral, back, and up aerials. His neutral and back airs are now totally different and not as strong, and his up aerial doesn't have the same throwing power that it had in N64. I mean, he's probably improved from Melee quite a bit, but he was also nerfed quite a bit for Melee.

I can beat bynary almost everytime with my pikachu. You just need to practice more with him.

I can beat bynary almost everytime with my pikachu. You just need to practice more with him.

I just checked a few matches on Google video and Pikachu was dominating, but ROB was also not playing the same way that Bynary was.

I guess you're just way better than me at the dodging around and getting your opponent to let you in game. Since none of my friends are interested in Smash Bros., somewhere around 99.9% of my play has been against computers, so I simply am not as good at that as I could be.

EDIT: yeah even the pro-est matches I am finding here, ROB is playing totally differently and leaving themselves a lot more open.

Manticore, I'd play you for fun since I was eliminated, but I think I'm lagging horribly even though I have a fast connection. Must be because it's "prime time" for people to play the game, wonder if all games have been laggy.

I was able to predict bynary's movements after a while, he would always dodge right when I was coming down with an aerial attack, so I just adjusted to hit further right. Lag = bitch.

Well that's no fun. I was hoping someone else to win this thing since I already proved my worth against korny in at least one fight that I can recall. Although... I still haven't done dual pikachu fight with him yet...
