Some are good, some are bad. If all widget files were at least halfway decent, I would give them near full credit. Since some of them are terrible, I give them a little less than half.

Guys, this isn't a "I've got really good skills so put my name on top of everyone else's!" topic. I you really want to discuss whether or not your skills at simfile making are ZOMG UH-MAZIN' or just "meh...", then create another topic just for that reason. Let's keep this topic clean of all of that so that new members who might want to join the Stepfile Testing crew will not be tempted by any of this semi-off-topic discussion.

Well, skill does matter. If you have someone with lots of files in the game but sucks at stepping test your file, it will probably not help you, maybe even harm you. If you want to have your files tested, it only makes sense that you should get someone skilled to do so.

The only thing we should be looking at here is how much does this person know about what makes a good SimFile. You can get somebody skilled at the game, but has no idea what makes a good SimFile and would say an easy but very good file sucks and a hard but very bad SimFile sucks (I see this a lot). The number of accepted SimFiles would be a more accurate way to resemble this as they know what makes a good SimFile as their SimFiles are in the game. I think after we get a few tests in we should re-evaluate people based on how well they do test these files.

1. Easier said than done.

2. Number of accepted files is NOT a good way to judge knowledge about files. (mainly because of widgets)

EDIT: That's pretty much what I meant. Playing skill and stepping skill are totally different, so when I use that term I generally assume everyone knows what I'm talking about.

I mean, not that people read stickies but at least it'd have the possibility of getting some more attention.
