dont know.. but go update your stepmania anyway.. Note, Solo, Flat have been on SM as long as i can remember.. before version 3.0 final came out if im thinking correctly.. after you pick a song keep hitting the enter button and an option screen should come up, then search for note, flat, and solo.. pick which ever and continue..
If you dont get that option screen then you need to go into the options menu and search inside the catagories for something that talks about options menu.. or something like that...
I would have given you detailed exact instructions.. but im at school and i cant open SM here..
BTW.. changing the arrows colors to note and solo help you see them better.. flat is for makeing things more difficult..
