Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Whatever I had you reamed in the round prior, lmao. Our final battle though was pretty lmao-worthy.
Anyways, I am using a different deck now (Cornelius with the Blood Vial, Yoshiro with General's Insignia, and Anex with the Valkyrie Charm). There are huge advantages to Blood Vial in your opening character. When you get low on health with the first character, swap out... by the time you use him/her again, they will be at full health. You're essentially using four characters this way, and by doing so on the opening character, you maximize the length of time that character spends earning health.
Furthermore, Yoshiro and Anex both have moves that attack people even when they flee, so this cuts down on the "intercept guessing" issue. And, both characters have decent attacks from both ranges.
I'm finding that the Helene/Yoshiro/Ashi deck isn't working out the way I'd hoped. Having too many range-dependent characters make it really hard to execute certain strategies. When I played Kyru, all he had to do was keep me away and keep me from delivering damage. It basically turned into a long, disgusting range-change battle.
So far I have yet to lose with this deck... will keep practicing to see its winrate.
