This thread was complete bull****. Having 30+ users up someone's ass about making a vid is absolutely insane. Making a girl go and spend her paycheck on a video camera to prove her legitness is quite ridiculous. A new suggestion..
Well known users will be granted the benefit of the doubt, and scores like this will be allowed without the constant bickering about bull ****. One score, ok, thats perfectly understandable. Well known users getting "omg insane" scores on more than one song, ok, then, I can see asking for a video.
Not-so-well-known users will always be asked for a video. Just the way it works. Having a "legit/good" reputation in the forums and as a player is what matters most here.
All in all, this calling bs on every last thread that is created is a bunch of malarchy. Quit it.

QFT. Goodjob guys, wasted what like 40-50 bucks on a camera for a fcking online game and for what? Sorry darkshark, I know you wanted to prove yourself but you failed at giving in. I would of thought getting your score deleted would've been more of a victory.

For all we know she could've been wanting a camera anyways. This could've just given her that much more of an incentive to buy it. Also, you can't relate with her... so you don't know how excited she could be about this score. Beating the top ffr players and all; she could have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it.

I'm not saying she didn't enjoy it but 30+ users pushing her to buy one even if she had planned on buying one shouldn't of changed anything. Why wouldn't I be able to relate to her? I'm talking about relating to her enjoyment out of it. You had scores that were untouched and then shash and bahamut came in and took over and maybe it's just me but I'm pretty sure almost everyone on this sites worships shash and bahamut. Then dark shark comes along and is able to completely dominate o so godly shash and bahamut on a completely ridiculous song like OMW. Unless I'm getting this wrong and the same thing happened to you. But the way I see it her situation could be a bit more enthralling and she might take this game a little bit more seriously than you did. All I'm saying is everyone reacts differently to situations. Some people get really really really freakin excited when good things happen and some people are like, "eh cool i guess." Who knows maybe she gets really excited about this kind of stuff. Granted I do also find it ridiculous that 30+ members were calling bs and stuff. But hey no one saw it coming and like I said before maybe she was already wanting a camera. Just throwing possibilities out there. Sure she could've been swayed by the pressure of the ffr community and bought the camera 100% solely on proving those 30 people wrong or she could've been 90% on already wanting one for whaetver reason and this event just happened to be the leftover 10% meaning she purchased mainly 9/10 for herself and 1/10 for this thing. I don't know anything for sure but like I said just throwing possibilities out there. Only way to know is to ask her.

my take:

the call of BS was quite legit. it wasn't just OMW... there was at least a Revo score as well. Yes, DS was already a tier 2 player... but the OMW and Revo just came COMPLETELY out of nowhere AND the OMW, at least, is better miss/boo wise than Shash, Baha, or jx could do.

and then the proving of the vid is quite legit. so everything is fine.

and for my part... i don't recall if i actually did call BS, but i probably did. but i think i did it once, then just sat back and tried to explain things logically.
