Index is such a gay style that you don't actually have to play it to get better at it.

MAing on index versus spread is one thing. Being to able to do well on really hard stuff on index is another. Not to mention going from spread to index is easier than the other way around, especially if you get REALLY used to reading the arrows with the mindset of an indexer.

I play both spread and index, i've been playing index for a couple months longer, though... learning spread wasn't TOO hard after playing index... i think the other way around is probably harder because you're so tempted to use other fingers

I have alright MA on spread because I played index first, but i still kind of suck at streams lol

See, I've tried playing spread, but I always have the urge to move my right index finger upwards on up arrows, not to mention jumps confuse the hell out of me. I got used to reading the notes as DDR patterns. As a result, I can't really do many keyboard sims on spread.
