I don't think that's true. Look how much DukAmok improved by playing on Judge 5 for a while. Plus, I wasn't improving on 4. I was stuck in the same place. I'm improving like crazy on 6, so at least it is fun again.

Think about it, you'll eventually get used to Judge 4 if you switch back since you won't be able to see your timing as easily. There's no point in this unless you plan on staying on judge 6 permanently and temporarily switching back to judge 4 for score posting. This will only a temporary boost in accuracy if you permanently switch back...

not necissarily true, what about in baseball, lets say you have trouble hitting a 80 mph pitch, so you go to the batting cages a switch the speed up to 85, practice at that speed for a while, then try going back to 80 mph, should be much easierThink about it, you'll eventually get used to Judge 4 if you switch back since you won't be able to see your timing as easily. Fusi0n, I am permanetly playing on Judge 6. I will only switch back for like a few songs at a time or something. Judge 6 is a lot more fun to me for whatever reason.Comment

Actually it's not placebo since you can actually see your timing much easier. Since the timing is more strict, you can see if you slow down just a tiny bit, because you will get a perfect, and this will force you to be more precise. Say you are on judge 1, you can be sloppy as hell but still get marvelouses, so you won't know how off you are.Comment

to everyone: no it wasnt just playing that improved my accuracy, nor was it playing that improved dans. you can tell this by watching the score progression. right after he announced he was going to judge 6, he posted some scores. assumably, since he barely started, he was at the same level. now i dont know about you guys, but most people dont improve their scores by 70 perfects or so in a day or two. and yet, thats what me and dan did. there really isnt another explanation of how we got so good...
also, im playing on j6 now. i think im gonna take a page out of dans book and stay there permanently (or until i plateau), and go to j4 for some posting scores.

Ok, I went back to JD 4 for one song. I opened stepmania, turned it to 4, played this song, and changed it back to 6. No whoring at all. All I have to say is DAMN THE ENDING TO HELL!
Now where are all those people that said upping the judge doesn't do anything?
