So since a new month is starting up soon, I just thought I'd look through all the current members and see if anyone changed divisions since I last checked. And I'm glad I did, the results were impressive, and I'm so proud of you all!

At the present time, I would like to object this potential move. If this is based solely on what's showing on my Leaderboard, the top score is a rate score. If it's a thing...can I ghost D4 in EMG?

Sure, that's fine. Should I just keep you as D3 here, then?

Also, I just finished making Month 9 on the spreadsheet for the upcoming new week, and I have hidden all the rows of inactive users. Users will be marked as inactive if they have not submitted for 2 months, where months are a spreadsheet tab. Every member of the rivalry is still there, just the inactive ones are hidden to save space.

And can everyone just make sure I didn't make a mistake when rearranging divisions? Thanks.

My main problem is predicting the notes. I don't know the term for this but it's when the doubles are in succession. I will predict the wrong notes and have to react and press the right note while also the wrong one that I predicted and am already pressing. AKA I am playing doubles where singles are and triples where doubles are. So like it really isn't because my fingers aren't fast enough, it's because I can't react in time to press the right notes after I am about to press the wrong ones. Both Forgotten Planet and Gruntilda's Lair have a lot of those " double double single double double single" kind of combinations. I am just bad at them lol.

I have a strong enough internal sense of time and rhythm that the speed is not the problem. That is why files with no clear beat completely screw me up.

Don't predict, just look at what's coming and be purely reactive\

In Forgotten Planet, all of the doubles are where both a chiptune sound and a drum beat are simultaneously. Most of the time, the drum beat is something like 1_2+__4_ or just __2+__4_. The beat is pretty clear save for that one section about 2/3(?) through with a small stretch of silence, but when the part does come up there is indeed a beat to look for.

In short, the lack of a beat isn't really connected to the problem of trying to make note predictions. (Lack of a beat is something like in Dishevel.) If you're not making a prediction in the first place you don't have to fix it and then re-react correctly. By being non-predictive you can cut out half of that time and think less. I myself rarely think about what my fingers are doing and just let my brain do all of that subconsciously while I just try to observe all of the goop on the screen.

Also, slightly lowering the scroll speed can give you a lil extra time while not horribly hindering the comprehension of the individual notes.

And I'm not exactly qualified to respond to this, but I wanted to mention that I tend to mindblock when I think too much about what I'm doing. The motion of pressing the right keys should just be automatic, and likewise, the rhythm should come naturally. Most of what you will encounter that is difficult rhythmically will be swung rhythms and 16th patterns. Basically, you'll just need a feel for syncopation as well as playing what you see, not what you hear. Rhythmic issues tend to be replaced by coordination issues at higher levels anyway.

One more thing to add, while focusing on being automatic, make sure you are also being deliberate. Don't mash keys, and make sure you do what you do for a reason. Almost everything in a chart is there for a reason, so you should respond accordingly.
