I can confirm that is about right for mastering a skill like this at this point.

6 hours a week for two years while consistently doing your best and trying to improve should be enough. Be sure to think consciously about how to do better. If you're like DrizzleRomanceGirl and do not think about things like finger technique and ways to practice, your skill level can become capped for a while.

If you're like DrizzleRomanceGirl and do not think about things like finger technique and ways to practice, your skill level can become capped for a while.

This isn't entirely true since I've been trying to specifically improve on mini-jacks by playing songs with a lot of these patterns, but I do agree that I don't use that much effort in technique and I never try to use slower rates since I only use the legacy engine. Honestly, I'm mostly content with being in D4 right now; I just would like to improve to the point where I'm in the middle of D4 and not one of the least-skilled people in this division. ^.^
