Super Novely (DJ 99coN Bootleg Game Edit)
-----------------------------------------
- Perms, sync, metadata good.
- 8.326: Suggest [23] jump to break up needlessly long column 4 anchor while keeping PR. Keep an eye out for things PR issues & anchors that go too long in the 8th sections, e.g. 9.914 could be [24].
- 12.031: Really long column 1 anchor, suggest breaking this up.
- 15.561: Why do you switch to jumps here? Also, why do you switch back to singles at 16.443 instead of 16.796?
- 19.884: You used a single at 18.472--make it consistent.
- 20.766: Missing note.
- 23.325: Same as previous jump, but different instrumentation. Easy fix by moving to [23].
- 28.266-36.737: Watch your inner column bias in this handstream section. You often have 23 trills that start and end with minijacks, which is a bit stressful, particularly considering the minijack section this leads into.
- 40.707: If jumps here are for vocals, this should be a single. If not, 40.884 should be a jump.
- 41.678-63.207: While consistent, the layering in this section is not very interesting or personalized. I'd like to see more focus on the Super Lovely noises. For instance, 8th jumps without them (like 42.913) could be dropped down to singles. I'd likely also drop 4th hands without them to jumps as well. Similar note for 87.560-110.149.
- 48.384-49.090: These 32nds go to a completely different sound than the ones just before and so should be distinguished by speed or patterning. Would personally drop down to 24ths, but with spicier patterns. Similar comment at 106.266.
- 50.590: Minijack doesn't fit the patterning so far or the sound. The next two are a little better, but hardly sound any different from the rest of the handstream and so I'd still recommend removing them.
- 54.031: This is way more than the sound deserves.
- 59.678-62.149: Watch column 1 anchor usage.
- 62.413, 63.119: These are really aggressive. Would personally prefer hands, but I suppose quads aren't out of place here. If you keep them, at least make the second one a [34][1234][12] pattern, though--the current 3-note jack is spiky and unwarranted.
- 63.560-68.501: Gonna be honest, it took me a minute to even figure out what these 32nds were for. I really don't think these vocals need to be dumped like this.
- 74.325: No vocal here, so jump should be omitted like at 73.266.
- 74.854-83.325: Vocals are treated very inconsistently in this section. They're omitted entirely at 74.854 and 80.501, followed as they are in previous sections at 79.266, and followed more sparingly than before at 76.266.
- 78.501, 78.678: While the vocals do come in around these spots, the cores of the syllables start around the 8th and 4th respectively, so I'd recommend removing these swing notes. Also they're just kinda confusing.
- 83.325-86.149: This is incredibly rude, holy hell.
- 87.207: A descending pattern makes more sense here than two minijacks, and would also allow you to get rid of the 3-note jack the hand forces.
- 87.560-110.149: You're more aggressive with bursts in this section than 41.678-63.207, where you usually just follow the last / longest ones in a phrase. This is not always the case here; for example, you have bursts at 98.325 and 101.678, and start the last one at 108.560 instead of 108.913.
- 98.634: This second burst doesn't actually start until the 8th, so this is a ghost note.
- 100.619: You omit the 32nd before the hand here, but don't at 89.325. Suggest making consistent.
- 109.090, 109.443, 109.796: These jumps are a little overkill considering this is already the longest 32nd stream in the chart.
- 111.560-121.090: You followed this with broken handstream at 5.680-16.972. These sections sound pretty much the same, so I'd advise consistency--either this becomes handstream or the beginning becomes gluts.
- 112.090, 114.207, etc.: What distinguishes these from the jumps in this section?
- There's definitely potential for a hard jumpglutty chart in this, but I feel this is a touch overdone as is. This is a rather pervasive issue; the biggest complaints are the transitions forcing 3-note jacks (especially around quads), the handstream layering obscuring what's actually going on in the song, and going too hard on the streams to capture changes in sound. Inconsistencies such as 74.854 and 111.560 should also be resolved. [5.5/10]
