Deception (Pizza69)
- Offset's fine.
Not gonna lie, the entire structure for this dumping approach is probably one of the best that I've seen in FFR. It doesn't stray away from the usual quantizations and they're just about apt for the difficulty of this chart.
6.046 - aha this opening with 24th stress vocals, me likey
19.717 - what is this critical err0r glut sequence lmao
25.508 - This guitar does repeat four times, which I think making this fits as a 4-note jack or something.
32.596 - Technically missing a 48th here, but creating polys over the 16th works just as well (this repeats for the back quarter of this chart).
40.159 - Misplaced 48th? (this applies to 2:59.906 and 3:02.944 too)
49.147 - This should form a minijack collision from the 16th, because of the snare like the one from 48.862.
1:37.089 - Stress vocal started on this 16th, not on the 8th before, so the minijack should form starting on the 16th.
2:36.266 - Stress vocal starts on this 48th, not on the 64th before. (this one is very minor as it isn't super clear where the timing on the syllable has the more accenting power)
I think the detail for the dumps could be made with much, much more clarity (namely the vocal stresses and the minijack collisions that appear every time it happens) and that's the sole reason why I think this chart should be treated with relative ease.
With the general approach to this chart and given the DGD song choice, this is a brilliantly made dump chart. Not many of these structural errors I could find, but the chart can definitely be tuned up in some more places here and there. Even with the longer length than you would usually expect with a song like this, it doesn't feel that long either - it's just very, very enjoyable to play. Accepting this is a no-brainer, and an excellent addition to the dump catalogue for sure. [9/10]

Deception (Pizza69) [9/10]
>Permission good (Rise Records)
>Folder contents, metadata good
>Sync good
3.009 - super nitpick - compare 12.122, might be nice for these 32nds to be the same pattern
37.564 - .944 / 3:03.387 - .766 - understandable, but slightly disappointing to not have guitar 16ths to fill in here
58.260 - (subjective) jump?
1:46.298 - 1:49.716 - I appreciate this.
I don’t write this lightly: you’ve made the new gold standard to which all future vocal dumps will be compared. This chart is simply outstanding in every aspect. Well done!

Mipha:
25.508: Oh god lol. I think this is too spicy for me
32.596: I think there is something there but I can't tell exactly what it is. I think this structure is a bit clearer, follows guitar 16th & sharp percussion 24ths.
40.160: DGD decided to put a loud ass snare here for some reason, it's the same sound as 40.223 and so I used a jump. It's gross and nasty
49.147: Good catch, added minijack
1:37.089: You're right that this would be better off starting on the beat... but repatterning this would take me 20 minutes because patterning long streams stresses me out ;-; I think I'll leave it as-is because that is a lot of work for marginal gain lol
2:36.266: I think this works as an approximation, it's hard to capture this with 28ths but I feel like it's trilly roughly where it needs to be
Tru:
3.009: Matched the second pattern to the first
37.564: I think I had 16ths here when the 24ths were a single-note trill, but it felt too crowded with the jumptrill. One hand is always more anchored than I want
58.260: It probably should be, but patterning 8th jumps into the middle of a 24th stream effectively is a pain in the butt. I think leaving it as a single is a less bad option than forcing a trill or forcing two consecutive 8th jumps of the same type
1:46.298: hehe glad someone noticed ;)
Misc:
49.527: Made layering & minijack scheme resemble 61.679 more since it's the same sound
