Lanadyne Interface (M0nkeyz) [8/10]

[What's the "2" in the song title?]

PERMS OK
SYNC OK

18.169 & 19.235 & etc: These 16ths should be jumps at most, as they the have the kicks that the 8ths and 4ths do.

16.902 & 17.035: Could afford these 32nds.

18.569: This is just the first example of many such 16ths minijacks that really dont sound like they should be minijacks. For example, 19.635 should probably be on col 1 to match 20.035 which is the same note. So the PR in this entire section feels a bit off. I understand that it might have been to make the next section at 25.769 more distinct, but it doesn't feel quite right regardless.

55.105: PR, should probably not be the same jump as 54.702.

57.835: Could be a minijack on col 3 without being too spiky. Just an idea.

1:10.435 & 1:12.569: PR on these double 48ths flams is not ideal since the flams really aren't the same note, but maybe it's fine for the motif.

1:50.299: Debatable if not 48ths here and just the single 64th like at 1:47.899. Same for 1:54.566. The 64th motif/sound is dominant in these places vs the bass-y roll. Although maybe in these cases the first 48th can be kept and the second one converted to a 64th to keep both motifs. Up to you.

2:04.099: Missing note.

2:05.055: 64th, not 24th.

2:07.366: Again, 64th motif here like at 2:09.332. See also 2:11.632, etc. (all arguable, see notes above)

Really cool chart. The layering decisions make things a bit odd with these handgluts and minijacks but it's not a big deal. The chiptune flams and motifs could be cleaned up a bit too. Fun to play though, good stuff.

Lanadyne Interface (M0nkeyz) [7.5/10]

- Perms, metadata, sync are good

- Why is there a 2 on the folder title?

15.635 - Slightly weird flow, the [24]31 is already done at 14.835 with 231

17.769 - This is the only instance of a 232 triplet in this segment. Everything else uses a unique column for each note (e.g. 19.902, 22.035)

*23.635-24.702 - The minijacks should focus on column 2 based on your structure. You already did column 3 at 22.569-23.635

33.502 - I hear a note here

36.702-37.169 - Slightly weird PR here. Can fix it by moving the 8th to col 1, and the next 4th to col 4

45.502-45.769 (subjective) - There aren't any 32nds here for the 8-bit noise technically

57.769-57.835 - Suggest to mirror 3 and 4 to 4 and 3 in order to differentiate from the upcoming grace (which is also 3 and 4)

1:00.524 - 16th not 24th

1:04.302 - Move to col 3

1:09.946 - Move to col 1

*1:10.569-1:16.969 - PR here is loose for the 48th flams. Ex: 1:12.302 being the only one that's 34 while the rest are 24 in that segment. Also 1:10.569 repeating the same column order as 1:10.435 while both not being the same tone. Double check

1:20.480 - Missing note for the flam

1:49.366-1:49.566 (nitpicky) - Weird PR here

1:53.632-1:53.899 (nitpicky) - ^

2:06.744 - Missing note for the flam

2:08.655 - Why is this note here? Aren't you only doing flams for those bleeps?

2:11.010 - See 2:06.744

2:16.712-2:20.563 - OOF

2:20.697-2:20.830 (subjective) - Suggest to maybe swap the notes to ease up control after hitting the trills. Accidental longer anchor on col 3

2:23.497 (nitpicky) - Same weird PR as the other notes. To expand more on them, on the second roll, there are two additional high bleep noises that are not present on the first roll, so my imagination is it should start as something like 34321xxx instead of repeating the 4321xxx

*2:25.230-2:33.630 - Loose ordering of this structure. Compare with 17.235-23.635 (Unique column order for the minijacks - 1st section on col 3, 2nd section on col 1, 3rd section on col 4, 4th section on col 2, etc)

This file is pretty cool and I like the motif with the hands. That said there are a lot of odd stuff that break the flow of it and make it feel not very polished at the moment. If you go over the notes, I believe you can turn this file a lot better.

OPP

18.169 & 19.235: Had those as jumps originally, but I feel the hand motion makes for a more interesting challenge, the sound isn't different enough for it to feel wrong as hands to me.
16.902 & 17.035: Not hearing 16.902 and I'm hearing muddy bass tones at 17.035 that I don't think is worth including.
18.569: I know there's a difference in pitch here, but I'm trying to make this section feel different from the section starting at 25.902 where there's a much clearer melody. The first section is much more percussive and minijacks feel more appropriate there.
55.105: Changed.
57.835: Followed deam's suggestion instead.
70.435 & 72.569: Changed.
110.299: Changed
124.099: Added.
125.055: Changed.

DEAM

15.635: Intentional
17.769: Oops, had them all as triplets in a previous iteration and forgot to change this one.
*23.635-24.702: Nice catch
33.502: That's why it's included :P
36.702-37.169: Changed.
45.502-45.769: Yep, removed.
57.769-57.835: Changed.
60.524: Alright changed.
64.302: Ok
69.946: Done.
*70.569-76.969: I think it's better now with Op's suggestions.
80.480: That one is not prominent enough.
109.366-109.566: Changed
126.744: Intentional didn't want to include it after a 48th burst into jump.
128.655: Removed.
136.712-140.563: it's fine :P
140.697-140.830: Changed.
145.230-153.630: Made it more consistent.
