Touk Touk (Lights & Tru) [7.5/10]
>Perms & sync good
>For the metadata, please fill in your names in Properties

0.810 - This is higher pitch than 3.310. See 5.810/8.310 & 10.810/12.060
6.825 - Missing note
9.247-9.794 - Eh, I'd like this section (the acid beat noise) to have its PR tweaked b/c right now it looks like it's descending as part of 8.935-9.247 & 9.872-10.132, whereas this section's pitch sound neutral
14.169 - This is higher pitch than 13.935. Should either be [14] or [24]
20.341 - Missing note
22.450 - Why minijack?
22.919 - Why jump?
25.653-25.731 - Two diff noises of the melody on [1]?
26.435-26.747 - Fill in the wubdump. Compare 41.435-41.747
27.685-28.414 - So this melody is ascending, but the rolls go like 32nds-24ths-20ths-24ths? (shouldn't the snap or patterns be increasingly intense??)
30.028 - Missing jump. Compare 30.341
36.435-36.591 - Why not do 24ths like in 34.427-34.351/34.872-35.028
38.031 - Technically not the same snare pitch as 37.997
39.950 - Missing note
40.810 - Technically not the same snare pitch as 40.497
41.122 - Consider changing 41.122-41.278 to [24][24][13] or [14][14][23] for better PR
41.435-41.747 - Technically 24ths
42.685 - Why hand?
47.528-47.685 - Technically 64ths (nerf to 32nds?)
48.466-48.830 - Definitely ascending on this PR...
52.685-53.153 - Fix jump PR
53.356 - Why minijack?
57.997-58.153 - These jumps have higher pitch than 57.685-57.841
58.466-58.778 - Fix jump PR
1:04.247-1:04.716 - This is so unnecessarily left-hand biased
1:05.341-1:05.757 - Why 32nd into 24th specifically, instead of the other way around?
1:08.310 - Should be [24]. Has higher pitch than 1:08.153
1:20.966 - This kick should be on [2] to make the minijack. Compare the diff noise of hi-hat in 1:20.731
1:25.341-1:25.419/1:28.310-1:28.544/1:32.060-1:32.294 - So should this be jumps or singles? Compare 1:20.810-1:21.044
1:40.731-1:40.810 - Why does this have minijack, but the rest of the snare spots in this break section don't?
1:41.747 - Should be hand. Kick. Compare the other kicks in this break section since the rest of them are hands
1:53.935/1:55.810 - Should be jump. Snare. Compare the other snares in this break section since the rest of them are jumps
2:11.356/2:13.231/2:24.481/2:26.356 - Should be single. No kick. The minijack'ing can stay
2:12.528 - Diff pitch. Should be a diff jump pattern than 2:12.372
2:34.716/2:35.653 - Should be single? From 2:30.497-2:36.591, the snares get jumps but not the kicks

>>Mostly straightforward & consistent. PR/Layering can be better

Judge Score: 7.50 - Change Recommended

Touk Touk (Lights & Tru) [6.5/10]

- Perms, metadata, sync are good

8.622-8.876 - I would honestly choose to ignore this to not let it blend with the 32nds rolls. Both used close together create a weird flow

10.810 - Not hand

14.560-16.435 - This is very nice

19.872 - PR, [14] not [24]

22.450 - Debatable if minijack

*24.950, 25.106, 25.731 - Not minijacks

30.419 - Ghost note

32.450 - Same as 22.450

*33.388, 35.888, 36.044, 39.638 - Not minijacks

*34.872-35.028 - Wrong quantization. According to your structure this glitchy break should be a 32nd

42.138 - Missing note

42.450 - Same as 22.450, 32.450

43.518, 43.674, 43.830 - Not a fan of these flams used together with the jumps. From playtesting it felt a bit disruptive

*50.810 - Very arguably not a minijack. Should be 3

*52.138 - Not a minijack

56.356 - Why minijack here?

*57.138 - Not a minijack

*1:04.403 - On the other hand, why no minijack here? Compare with 1:09.403

*1:08.310 - This is rude. I would highly suggest to keep it at [24]

1:11.981 - 20th, not 16th

1:15.966 - Not a jump if it goes to the drums. Even if not, feels oddly weird to place one here

*1:19.592-1:19.839 - While it matches with the waveform, the notes do not line up with the vocal. Double check

*1:20.966 - Minijack?

*1:24.716 - ^

1:25.419, 1:28.544, 1:32.294 - Like here you have minijacks, but the previous two notes you don't. What gives?

1:39.872-2:05.185 - What's the layering with the jumps and hands here? Why there are kicks/vocals that use layering as hands but others as jumps?

2:10.810, 2:12.685, etc - Not quite sure why these aren't jumps, also why 2:12.685 lands on the same column as the jumps. Should be 2 instead

2:21.278-2:22.060 - Unusual anchor on the right

2:26.747-2:30.497 - Oh that's just vile

2:30.575-2:30.731 - Ghost notes technically, unless it's for the vocals?

2:34.013 - Jump?

2:42.919 - Ghost note

*2:53.388 - Not a minijack

*2:57.060-2:57.216 - See 34.872-35.028

This file is really good. It has lots of variety to it and lots of difficult sections that can catch you off guard. That said, I tried really hard to not give it a reject rating, but the extensive misuse of minijacks in the file is too overbearing. That and the few more inconsistencies in the structure/layering is too much to consider a FR the way I see it. They are really minor errors/mistakes that unforunately spread out to the entire chart.

In an event this goes above reject rating, FR on the extensive misuse of minijacks, and general recheck of the notes.

25.653-25.731 - fixed (Lights)
26.435-26.747 - fixed (Lights)
27.685-28.414 - explanation:
first bit = 32nd because sound starts strong. descending because pitch isnt moving up yet
second bit = 24ths because maintaining 32nds through here while switching stream direction would make this really hard for no reason.
third bit = 20ths to give the peak of the fourth bit more impact and to make it easier to transition into the fourth bit (24ths force a onehanded motion that doesnt reflect the movement of the sound as well)
fourth bit = 24ths to reflect the peak of the sound

I understand your concerns with this section, but i couldnt find an approach that did a better job of balancing relative difficulty while still capturing the more prominent aspects of the sound, opting to leave as-is (Lights)

30.028 - fixed (Lights)
36.435-36.591 - they are (offset) 24ths, just colored to reflect being a much different sound. didnt look right to me as vanilla 24ths (Lights)

1:40.731-1:40.810 - Subtly varies the tension a bit in response to chord changes. (This totally isn't my flimsy justification for not changing anything here) (Tru)
1:41.747 - fixed (Lights)
1:53.935/1:55.810 - fixed (Lights)

1:25.419, 1:28.544, 1:32.294 - fixed (Tru)
1:39.872-2:05.185 - Think I removed a jump that was only on a vocal? idk it's otherwise pretty straightforward (Tru)
2:10.810, 2:12.685 - Layering: it makes sense in my head because music chills out hereeee aaahhhhh it's fine. Patterns: tweaked (Tru)
2:21.278-2:22.060 - eehhhh ok (Tru)
2:26.747-2:30.497 - This is kind of the only remotely good solution to this section that captures the trill, snares, and vocal (Tru)
2:30.575-2:30.731 - ye (Tru)
2:34.013 - Could see an argument for this but I think as is works better (Tru)
2:42.919 - Its not, but the note there is so faint that i'll remove it (Lights)
*2:53.388 - i disagree, but fixed (Lights)
2:57.060-2:57.216 - fixed (Lights)

These notes are really good. 6.5/10, write better notes next time. (Lights)
