Ok I know this barely qualifies as "a song", but I still personnally think this is fine.

I was looking through my things to see if I had anything that could make a decent 25 to 55 difficulty file and this was honestly the best candidate. My intent with this was to construct a fun, easily grindable, short song that wasn't prone to mindblocking.

The choice to only cover leads and special effects might seem weird, but I wanted to make a file that mostly teaches speed related things to beginners, i.e tiny bursts, jacks and the like. I've even colored every single effect to help guide newer players.

Hopefully this is useful for the tournament!

Forgotten Solo from some song (Hateandhatred) [7.5/10, CQ/FR*]
>Perms, metadata, sync good

*8.364/15.799/23.234/28.191/36.978/48.243 - Why jump in these specific spots and not anywhere else?
15.235 - Suggest moving this to [3] to avoid PR conflict with 14.898-15.010
*17.376-17.827 - The 32nd flams are offsync. Compare 13.771-14.222
*22.107-22.258 - Offsync flams
31.458/53.651 - Ghost note. You’re stepping just the solo, right?
37.203-37.541 - Suggest changing this from 122 to 233 for better PR
45.314-45.765 - Suggest changing this from 3434 to 2323 for better PR

- 0:08.063 no note in the melody here.

- 0:08.364 This jump feels out of place. there are basically no jumps in the entire chart

- 0:22.183 these notes come in quite early compared to the sound they're supposed to represent. The rhythm should be a repeat of the previous one.

- 0:37.428 this pattern is EXTREMELY rude. 2-note jack followed by a 3-note jack is already tricky enough and requires an amount of control, but that extra note on 1

The color theory in this chart feels out of place to me. Its usage just feels arbitrary and not well justified. The colored notes are still the same instrument and feels too similar to be worth justifying. You also enter territory where your color theory suggest incorrect rhythms. At 0:38.780 we see a blue note followed by a purple note. Usually this means 24ths, but here the rhythm is actually 32nds. I simply dont find the color theory in this chart to be that effective.

I feel like the PR could use a lot of work in this chart. Often times you can see it wrap around to the other side resulting in some of the highest notes like 0:09.941 ending up on the left side, which is ALSO where the lowest notes end up. This results in the heavy left hand bias we see in this chart. In general i find it best to keep the highest notes of a sequence/section on the right side, moving around other notes to better fit the general idea of the pitch. Getting PR right is very important in a melody focused song like this so its especially noticeable when it doesn't quite fit.

Checking in on the status of this submission, as it's past the 1 month probationary period with a "Fixes Required" flag, but there's been no acknowledgment of judge notes or fixes submitted.

Files/Songs with the "Fixes Required" tag require at a minimum a fix submitted based on the above notes from judges, or a response appealing the notes involved in the reason for it being labeled as Fixes Required.

I will check back on this at a later date. If it does not receive a response or fix by then, it could risk rejection.

Oh rip, yeah I did fix it, I completely forgot to resubmit lmao, I'll do it tonight, if not tomorrow! Thank you for the heads up!

FR is still in effect. I see that 8.364, 36.978, and 48.243 were changed to singles, but why are 15.799, 23.234, and 28.191 still jumps?

I heard the other 3 as chords, like 2 notes harmonized together, but I guess they also work as singles. I don't really mind either way, so I'll change those to singles as well
