This is a fairly long song so for this easy cut I removed the solo section. Maybe I'll make a harder full version for a future batch.

The song is known as "Send My Love To Mars" on Etterna, but Mipha has informed me that the more accurate name is "Noise Channel Theme".

✔️ This chart has been marked as final and shouldn't receive any more changes.

- 0:34.258 I find the gaps in the stream quite odd and inconsistent with 1:23.327

I find that the streams can be quite hard to actually follow what they're trying to represent. with the snare jumps, an obvious thought would be percussion, but notes like 0:16.658 and 0:35.992 aren't charted. The synths seem to be another option that lands on the 16ths with notes like 0:16.524, but are missing notes like 0:11.191. Vocals are the one thing consistently charted. There seem to be quite a a few errors in the actual chart as well like missing jumps for snares at 0:43.325 and 1:23.594, or 1:08.260 which is a missing vocal. Maybe the streams are too unfocused or trying to chart too many instruments.

There are other minor issues as well, such as patterning. like i feel the jump placement can be overly repetitive at places. for example just look at all the [23]s in this section. Even after the section ends the very next group of snares is more [23]. There also seems to be a heavy 23 bias in the trills. just look at 1:08.660 or 1:35.328. the only 5+ note trill i could find that isn't 23 seems to be 0:46.126. These seem less intentional to me and more like random pattern bias. Things like this dont outright ruin a chart, but can lead to sections that may be unintentionally difficult

Overall i think this is a really good foundation for a chart, but just needs a little more polish and refinement.

43.325/44.525/55.459/1:00.660/1:02.526/1:02.793 - Should be jump

1.26.527 - Missing note
1:45.862 - Should be jump
1:58.662 - Missing note
2:01.729-2:07.996 - Should either make the synth’d kicks (e.g 2:01.729/2:02.662) into hands, or make the non-synth’d kicks (2:02.262/2:03.329) into singles

>>Kinda boring for an OT file given it’s understepped, but at least it’s consistent

Thanks for the comments. An update is coming soon which will fix the missing notes and jumps.

Storn, some of the things you pointed out as errors were intentional. I think you misunderstand or just disagree with the way I approached this song. There is a clear (to me at least) melodic line which is mostly carried by the vocals, but sometimes by the synths or bass. My goal was to capture this melodic line with an emphasis on PR and on playing smoothly. The streams are focused in that I put a lot of thought into how best to capture the overall melodic contour, even if they're not always following a single instrument.

The repeating [23] jumps in the chorus are also intentional. The goal there was to build up some tension for the more intense and percussive parts of the song. I could have moved them around to create a standard jumpstream pattern - but that would be kind of boring, and I see that's a complaint about the file as is.

You're right that I wasn't thinking about the frequent 23 trills, though. I'll see what I can do to switch some of them up without sacrificing too much PR, as well as getting rid of some of the [23] jump bias outside of the chorus.

1. fixed the missing notes/jumps indicated in the judge notes
2. added hands to the outro per ositz's suggestion
3. quite a bit of rearrangement in the jumpstreams to reduce pattern bias. There should be a more even distribution of jump and trill types now. Although a lot of notes were changed, the overall structure, feel and difficulty of the chart is the same as before. I think this is a real improvement and I hope you agree.
