Playing God (Storn42) [7.5/10]
PERMS OK
SYNC OK
16.207-16.426: Maybe fine as a simplification of the real timing, but it tiptoes being too off imo.
20.477 & 49.371: Not 24ths here, it's 32nds starting on the 16th. (note that 1:02.509 is ok with 24ths)
33.385-33.823: The guitar here seems like it could be more accurate with poly/flams given that it's the main instrument that's being followed.
49.590: Technically there's 24ths hihats during these three 16ths. Could be added if you want to.
54.407: Could be a flam.
58.349: See 16.207.
1:12.801: 24ths.
1:34.553: Missing note.
2:09.079: Could maybe add notes around here arguably, fine as is though given the layering intention.
2:32.947 & 2:53.969: Hot damn, haha. This would be fine if the overall layering outside of it was quite a bit more intense, but right now it's quiiite the unexpected spike. I'd suggest either bumping up the layering here and there (more effort) or underlayering the kicks as singles during these polys and playing on the patterning to accentuate the percussions. Imo it's borderline in terms of how hard this is relative to the song's intensity.
2:59.882: 32nds here.
Pretty nice chart overall. The spikes might need to be fixed and there's some technical cleanup here and there but nothing too major. The layering is unintuitive at times but generally sound.

Playing God (Storn42) [7.5/10]
>Perms, metadata, sync good
20.477-20.696 - This is not four constant 24ths. It’s one 4th and three 32nds
28.130/31.633 - No hand?
35.301 - Sounds closer to 35.319
40.392/45.648 - No hand?
46.852 - Different noise than 46.524, but same jump pattern?
51.341-51.560/56.049-56.159 - Could do jump PR on this. Stuff like 41.159-41.378
1:00.101 - Should be [2]
1:03.166/1:06.670/1:11.925 - No hand?
1:12.856/1:12.966 - Technically 1:12.874/1:12.947
1:13.677/1:20.684 - No hand?
1:41.050 - Different noise than 1:40.640, but same jump pattern?
2:02.400 - Missing note
2:06.232 - No hand?
2:17.290 - No minijack with 2:17.181?
2:23.750/2:30.758/2:34.261 - No hand?
>>Mostly straightforward & consistent. Could use more hands for the emphasized attacks

@op
16.207-16.426: Maybe fine as a simplification of the real timing, but it tiptoes being too off imo.
- adjusted slightly to be more accurate.
20.477 & 49.371: Not 24ths here, it's 32nds starting on the 16th. (note that 1:02.509 is ok with 24ths)
- These are two seperate sounds and seperate issues. Its not even the same instrument. They shouldn't be under the same note. 20.477 is a generalization of the upward movement of sound. Its not supposed to be accurate to the instruments. 49.371 is accurate to the music. There might also be 32nds here, but the 24ths are correct.
33.385-33.823: The guitar here seems like it could be more accurate with poly/flams given that it's the main instrument that's being followed.
- i can add a flam, but poly does feel right here.
49.590: Technically there's 24ths hihats during these three 16ths. Could be added if you want to.
- sure, why not add more chaos lol.
54.407: Could be a flam.
- leaving it as is feels cleaner and plays nicer imo.
58.349: See 16.207.
- adjusted
1:12.801: 24ths.
- fixed
1:34.553: Missing note.
- fixed
2:09.079: Could maybe add notes around here arguably, fine as is though given the layering intention.
- i've actually wanted to spice the entire section up a bit. its always felt empty and i was never quite happy with it.
- Yea i agree here. the patterning was dumbed down but its still a pretty bad spike. I've removed the jumps and made the patterning a bit more spicy to compensate.
2:59.882: 32nds here.
- fixed
@ositz
20.477-20.696 - This is not four constant 24ths. It’s one 4th and three 32nds
- simplified pattern and its not supposed to represent the actual rhythm but more the general idea of the notes going up.
28.130/31.633 - No hand?
- added
35.301 - Sounds closer to 35.319
- fixed
40.392/45.648 - No hand?
- added 40.392 45.648 doesn't feel like it deserved a hand to me.
46.852 - Different noise than 46.524, but same jump pattern?
- i recognise this is the case, but it just feels like it should be the same jump to me.
51.341-51.560/56.049-56.159 - Could do jump PR on this. Stuff like 41.159-41.378
- I think that might get a bit spicy, and i like the repeated jump for the repeated kicks.
1:00.101 - Should be [2]
- moved
1:03.166/1:06.670/1:11.925 - No hand?
- added 1:03.166, 1:06.670, disagree with 1:11.925
1:12.856/1:12.966 - Technically 1:12.874/1:12.947
- changed to 24ths
1:13.677/1:20.684 - No hand?
- added
1:41.050 - Different noise than 1:40.640, but same jump pattern?
- it sounds similar enough to me.
2:02.400 - Missing note
- its a pretty soft note and hard to hear.
2:06.232 - No hand?
- added
2:17.290 - No minijack with 2:17.181?
- i dont hear a reason to add a minijack here.
2:23.750/2:30.758/2:34.261 - No hand?
- disagree with these. last one mostly due to difficulty concerns.
