REJECT.

This chart feels a bit overdone to fit the current standards of FFR. Things like the heavily charted intro reverse crash, or the violin having a near monopoly of the layering, or 17.901 (and 41.022, etc) which I believe layers the crash (and reverse crash) heavily again. The minijacks also feel slightly arbitrary.

Would likely enjoy playing this as a file I grab from ffrmania, but it just lacks a more straightforward base structure to make the abstract charting feel more relevant (and more in line with FFRs current charts).

Accept, was debating between accept and FR but I enjoyed playing through this. I generally didn't think that the violin was very dominant in this chart at all (this seemed mostly vocal-oriented with background noises auxiliary) and it seemed very linear in structure, albeit quite heavily done in general. But I didn't think that the heaviness of the chart really detracted my experience from it much after keeping some mental notes in my head. Some of the minijacks in the chorus do feel arbitrary but I didn't think that they were unfitting or anything, so I thought that they were fine.

- 6.385 could use a minijack if you want for the 16th violin, minor though.

* I think my main reservation with the chart is how you layer some of the vocals here -- mostly syllables like 19.022/33.022/34.567, where the rhythm just stops. You can probably fit a 16th after them and the syllables will probably be felt out more concretely -- as is it feels as if the song stops when there are pronounced vocals going on.

This is a prevalent issue throughout the chart where I think the chart could've afforded to have more continuous rhythms (even slow ones like 16ths) for held vocals throughout. Some obvious exceptions would be like 1:02.295, where the emphasis is clearly meant to demarcate the end of a phrase. The first half of the second chorus is also an exception because the empty space is meant to differentiate it from the first half of the first chorus.

- Could have a continuous 16th stream from 26.840 to 27.204 for the held vocal here, feels a bit empty as is.

* Not sure what the burst at 36.113 is going to, feels pretty unnecessary.

* Not super fond of the burst at 42.007 (and similarly 1:33.274) because they don't seem to go to anything strong enough to justify a faster burst. I think keeping a continuous 24th rhythm is fine. Similarly for 1:33.274, but I'm not sure what can be layered here. The light knock sound?

- I think there should be a faster burst at 51.385? The gap between this and the grey notes is a bit offputting.

- The strongest part of the violin ntoe at 1:36.920 is 1:37.011, so I think the burst should start at 1:37.011 instead of 1:36.920, but I get what you put the burst there.

The entire chart is very heavy-handed, but at the same time it still feels as if the song is being followed quite well. I think that takes quite a bit of acumen and you've definitely shown that you're competent at making dumps here, so I don't have any issues accepting this. That said, I do feel that the chart can be improved further by filling up some empty space in the chart.

Reject.

Too heavy handed and not enough consistency in your ideas here. Also, a distinct lack of tastefulness for me. I really dislike that you started the chart with the color note streams for the cymbal, 1. because it just isn't a good way to start a chart ever, but 2. you weren't even consistent enough with the idea to see it through to the end of the musical statement at 12 secs...opting instead to put that grey end-stop note to the barely audible sound. I would have been fine with you doing that btw if it weren't in sacrifice of an idea you already somewhat obnoxiously stated in the beginning of the file.

13.5 would have been a nice place to sprinkle in some color to the twinkling pianos but you opted instead for the straight 12th notes which felt lazy considering what you've already done up until this point.

There are ofc some parts I do appreciate like the offset 24ths that come directly after 13 seconds and also the bouncy descending 4th 32nd patterns but there just aren't enough highlights for me to appreciate what you are going for here.

Some of the color note streams to the vocals are alright, but mostly they strike as lazily patterned and lacking in inspiration.

Sorry, not it for me.

Putting this as an Accept for me.

You know, I think I like this file more than The Ballad of Mona Lisa since the dump here feels more justified to a point where heavy layering like this can be scrutinized less with how continuous the vocals and violins are.

-36.173 - can delete this note, this feels way too faint to be even followed.
-*42.075 - You might need to move this note somewhere else, as it creates an uncomfortable anchor over that 24th stream transition.

This is quite fun to play, though some might not agree with this kind of layering, but it follows the song pretty well, so it's a decent addition to the dump catalogue for sure.

Accept

Frankly I agree more with April and Mipha on this in that this is a pretty fun file and would make an interesting addition to FFR.

Ultimately I would also suggest making at least some of the changes everyone else has mentioned on this too. So I'll push this to a CR rating.

Been more than a month on this and notes haven't been acknowledged at a minimum. With 'Change Recommended' flags in batch, Stepauthor needs to either tick the comments box here acknowledging judge notes, or submit a fix.

Will give some time for this submission to be enacted upon. If I check back and it still hasn't been acknowledged (generally every 2-4 weeks), it could face rejection.

consistency fixes, clarified some of them mentioned rough spots/unclear stream run sections. added filler 16ths to some sections to sustained vocal sounds per April's comment. difficulty should remain unchanged
