TAKE ME WITH YOU (Impzbot) [6.5/10]
>Perms and metadata good
>Move initial offset to 2.980, then fix the inevitable BPM drift at around 12.691. After doing these two things, the file will be synced. My notes will be based on this new sync
>Don’t put .dwi files in the folder if you’re submitting for FFR.
12.118-12.314 - You’re missing two more 16ths here
12.706 - Why no jump?
19.750-22.887 - What noise are the jumps going to?
25.240-37.789 - Where’s the rest of the hands? Compare 37.789-49.554
59.750-1:08.573 - Kinda weird that you suddenly changed what noise you were stepping right in the middle of a section. There’s no break or stopping point here to provide a smooth transition from 50.338-59.750’s layering to this section’s layering
1:18.475 - This 16th wasn’t here a while ago. Compare 1:15.338
1:36.613-1:46.220 - What’s up with the hands?
1:46.809-2:11.907 - These 3’s and 5’s trills are missing one more 16th to them. It’s more accurate to make them 4’s and 6’s
2:00.142-2:09.554 - What’s up with the quads?
2:24.064 - Should be jump. Compare 24.456
>>Just stepping the melody and not the breaks will make for an easy file. Anyways, the layering needs to be sorted out atm

TAKE ME WITH YOU.
-----------------
- Permission, metadata good.
** Sync is very early, change offset 3.060 -> 2.995. Timestamps given with this change made.
- 6.515: Should be on the 12th at 6.547.
- 12.299: 16ths actually begin at 12.103.
- The 8ths section starting at 12.691 has good PR (I appreciate the attentiveness shown in the minijacks, especially) but is imo a little boring--given the difficulty curve of the rest of the file, I think you could afford to accent the percussion in places like 13.378. It would make this section a bit more interesting, less homogeneous.
- 20.534: Vocals come in here and you introduce some jumps, but it's not clear what to. If it's to the vocals or the stressed melody notes, you're missing some.
- 23.868: You followed these 16ths earlier.
- The section beginning at 25.240 is a bit minimalist/old-fashioned, but does work and fit the song. It also feels a little homogeneous, though, so I might recommend bringing in hands for the crashes at 25.240, 26.417, 26.809, etc. I see you do introduce them when the vocals return at 37.789, and this is cool; you could follow them a bit more completely with jumps or hands so it still feels like a good increase in intensity.
- The 24th flams in the section beginning at 50.338 are offsync, and are actually 16ths. I won't go into detail here because I think this will become a lot more clear once you fix the offset and look at it in an editor with a waveform, but DM me if you have any questions.
- The trill section at 59.750 is a cool idea that fits the section well, though tbh I'm not sure why the chart suddenly increases in intensity so much--I'd recommend picking either this type of approach or the previous one and sticking with it the whole way. Watch out for anchor use though; there are places where one column gets a lot more attention than you probably intended, like column 2 from 65.829-67.201.
- 73.476: Unintentional anchoring on column 3?
- 74.848: This is interesting and could definitely work out, but its inclusion is another point towards following the vocals more completely in the rest of the chart.
- Compare the 81.711 section to 25.240: this one is much denser than before despite being basically the same sound. Could also use a bit more to accent the crashes I feel. The hands at e.g. 96.613 are interesting and well placed; maybe if you reduce this section down to mostly resemble 25.240, these could stay hands and the prominent melody notes at e.g. 90.338 and 90.534 could stay jumps? Food for thought.
- 107.887, 109.456, etc.: Missing 16th note.
- 120.142: Why quad? Not sure I get the hand and quad use in this section.
- What program did you chart this in? Based on the offset, I'm guessing it's Stepmania (syncing in DDReamstudio only results in negative offsets, and ArrowVortex's autosync wouldn't be so far off). If that is the case, I would highly recommend using either DDReam or AV--download links can be found in the pins in the #simfiles channel of the FFR discord. This chart has a lot of ideas and was clearly made with a structure in mind, but it is not very refined--using one of these editors, the waveform, and the ability to slow the song down would make that refining process a whole lot easier. Feel free to message me or, more broadly, the #simfiles channel of the FFR discord if you have any charting-related questions, or any questions about this review. I think this chart would need a lot of work to make it in-game, but I can very much see the intent behind it and strongly encourage you to think about these suggestions and try again at submitting files.
