Released
We have multiple dBu songs in game, and I checked Rebirth's profile and they haven't logged in recently enough to be bothered to message.
File is a 190 BPM test of Jumpsteam, Stamina, and trilling ability. Features subtle runningman for added loss of AAAs. :D

If a slightly better quality MP3 is desired (It's like 256kbps now, I can rip it from the CD I think on my shelf in 360kbps.) Just let me know.

No AntiPA reqs if changed into a token post-release. No Exclusive unlock requirements (such as Freedom Dive's.)

- The sim folder name isn't as expected: "Plastic Mind (XelNya & Shadowgod)" vs "Plastic Mind (XelNya)"

Plastic Mind (XelNya & Shadowgod) [7.5**FR/10]
>Permission good (Blanket assumed)
>Folder contents, metadata good. I’m not going to be overly pedantic about putting actual FFR usernames in the folder name but I will mention it.
>**This file has what we used to call Blue Note Syndrome – the music’s downbeat is stepped on 8ths instead of 4ths. To fix with AV, move first beat sync a half-beat, then cut/paste all the arrows to start at the right time again. Similar process in ddream, move all the beats up by an 8th and cut/paste the arrows. Will judge this file as is, and require this fix for acceptance.

Pre-playtest/judgement - I have to admit a small amount of bias on this chart. I quite like Zagh’s really old file for this song, but it does have a few flaws. Hoping for a new, interesting interpretation.

Playtest Impression, 0.9x Rate – Somewhat uncharacteristically comfy patterns, but will have some nitpicks.

1.644 - missing?
9.940, 10.571 - think it’d be a nice touch for these to be on 1 like/with 9.308. Will necessitate tweaking PR of the rest of what’s here so ignorable subjective
11.828 - given structure suggests this should be a hand
**41.196/41.275 - ??? Going to assume this was an error – the two snare hits I think you wanted to layer are an 8th earlier
52.249-1:00.933 - I have to assume layering is a bit more expressive here than for any particular combination of instruments – there would be missing background chimes or timpani otherwise. Fine as is.
1:01.091 - should probably be a jump given current structure
1:01.091 - 1:02.354 - (very subjective, can ignore) would prefer eg. 12221111 for the 16ths but very much a nitpick
1:02.670, 1:02.907, (arguably)1:09.223 - missing
1:11.433, 1:11.591 1:11.749- (subjective, can ignore) suggest removing these notes
***A lot (all?) of the judge notes written to this point also apply to the song’s repeat up to 3:06.144, so be sure to fix similar parts in the same ways for consistency.

3:06.144 - hand?
3:26.354-3:46.565 - (somewhat subjective) This section could really stand out with a more rigidly followed jump structure. I really like how this section starts the jump use after the hand – [24][23][24] – and I think repeating a similar motif (not the same jumps, but a similar ABA pattern to jump choice and resulting surrounding patterns would work really well with the repetitive guitar.

This is pretty well done overall, and addresses many of the issues I had with Zagh’s old file. It needs some polish though. Note colour fix is required.

1.644 - missing?

- Yes.

9.940, 10.571 - think it’d be a nice touch for these to be on 1 like/with 9.308. Will necessitate tweaking PR of the rest of what’s here so ignorable subjective

- These are actually PR'd to the Piano, which is why I didn't do it that way - it was actually considered when I made the file 'cause it leaves a lot of blank space there. Though, maybe all the better when the file actually get's going.

11.828 - given structure suggests this should be a hand

- True.

**41.196/41.275 - ??? Going to assume this was an error – the two snare hits I think you wanted to layer are an 8th earlier

- I think? I hear it as you're describing it, but it's super lost on me. I've made the change 'cause I kind of hear it / am just gonna trust you on this.

52.249-1:00.933 - I have to assume layering is a bit more expressive here than for any particular combination of instruments – there would be missing background chimes or timpani otherwise. Fine as is.

- This is a super accurate way to describe this.

1:01.091 - should probably be a jump given current structure

- Shit.

1:01.091 - 1:02.354 - (very subjective, can ignore) would prefer eg. 12221111 for the 16ths but very much a nitpick

- Super cool detail. Added, and also changed one or two others that do something similar for comfirmity. :D

1:02.670, 1:02.907, (arguably)1:09.223 - missing

- Added all.
- On the last one, I've decided the best way to middle ground this, is to blend the accent with adding in the 16th, and removing the last note of the accent. Gives it the flavor, but doesn't slap the player in the face.
- I also changed all the ones in the denser areas to accomidate, and left them alone in the more breathable spots for flavor. Feels like a good blend of detail / keeping it playable. (Also I think it keeps them cheatable which should be nice for someone playing it.)

1:11.433, 1:11.591 1:11.749- (subjective, can ignore) suggest removing these notes

- A lot of those are to the same wails that are charted in the section before / @1:43:88 (Will be different after the 8th note adjustment, but this section in particular) and is really good forshadowing for the change to the next section, which is why I'm leaving it as is.

3:06.144 - hand?

- Facepalm.

- So this section is literally a burried runningman to follow the guitar. If you removed all the jumps at the correct columns, you'd get to catch it really bluntly. I like your suggestion (and I'd considered it originally actually) but since the guitar is so different / foreceful here, that's what I followed. (I really hope this makes sense and doesn't sound dismissive. Your suggestions have been super great, and thoughtful so I realllllly wanted to clarify this particular one, because it's a fun piece of tech in this file's structure that is super hard to see.)

This is pretty well done overall, and addresses many of the issues I had with Zagh’s old file

- This is literally EXACTLY what I / shadow aimed to do with this, to where I actually borrowed one idea of Zagh's to make a section feel really reminiscent / nostalgic because I like the concept of his file. We aimed to give it it's fair nod. I'm still shocked this song never got redone for FFR considering all the others that were.

- Also on the BNS - I did not know it was that easy, if I had I would have done it premitively. LOL I learned something new, thanks a bunch.

Congrats on probably the fastest FR -> Accept turnaround in FFR history.

Side note that the BNS fix was only this easy because this is constant bpm. IF there were any bpm changes it'd be more complicated, and I'd probably have pointed you to the recolorizer instead.

Really great notes let me go fast. Also helps the file is a fair amount of creative copy paste. :D
