Playtest Impression, 0.9x Rate - Venetian Stamina

I’ll say up front that I can see how it’d be possible I’ve misinterpreted what you’re trying to do in certain spots with this file. Eg. I could see the bulk of these ghost notes being deliberate for a sense of either flow or capturing a more “continuous” noise or just flat out filler. So I’m writing these notes based on an assumption that your goal here is for a somewhat strict technically accurate approach.

22.622 - why jump?
51.650 - maybe this jump a 16th earlier
54.698 - why jump?

Assumed ghost notes:
-2.660
-6.926
-9.060
-11.193
-19.726
-41.288
-1:18.241
-1:45.212 (tho understandable)
-2:04.564, .717
-2:30.926, 2:31.079
-2:32.907
-3:21.364, .517

Assumed missing:
-1:22.202

Still a fun file, interesting new/full take on this song. CR-level rating feels most appropriate to me all things considered.

PERMS OK
SYNC OK

31.841: Could be minijacks.

1:22.583: Column 2 for better PR.

1:34.939: Would suggest mirroring this triplet to 43(12). Not only makes right hand do 34 -> 43 which feels nice on the pause, but also emphasizes the (12)(12) bass.

1:38.736: Fun 24ths here.

1:52.907-1:53.669: PR here is a bit odd. Since 1:53.669 is a low synth, I would suggest making this triplet (starting at 1:53.517) a (24)3(12), or alternately a (34)2(13). Both of these would also keep the PR of the minijack sounds (at 1:52.907) on either column 2 or 3.

2:13.479: Jump, there's a crash here too.

2:22.469: Odd PR given 12(34)21 before it (at 2:21.403).

2:40.755: A bit mean to keep the jumps at 2:41.212 on two hands, columns 2 & 3 are pretty busy there. Would suggest trying to move these to one handed jumps. Not too big of a spike though.

3:03.841: Could be moved to column 3 for PR with the preceding (23), and probably move 3:03.993 to col 4.

3:05.517: This minijack feels a bit forced.

3:11.841: Odd PR. Similar story with 3:20.374.

3:44.450: The 8ths on column 2 are pretty anchory here, which could be fine if on purpose but then 3:46.276 & 3:47.193 feel off.

3:28.526: 3(14)3 would improve PR on these 16ths since they are quite prominent and are different from those at 3:28.222 & 3:28.374.

3:45.441: If this is layered, then 3:45.288 probably should too.

While there are a couple of really minor things to check, this chart totally delivers. There maybe could be a bit more layering of the more unique 8bit-ish sounds but that's mostly preference. Pretty solid chart.

Tru:
22.622 - Kick
51.650 - This is a jump b/c Snare. The 16th before (AKA 51.574) is single b/c it doesn’t have Kick/Snare
54.698 - Kick

Ghost notes:
2.660/6.926/9.060/11.193/19.726/1:18.241/2:32.907 - Discrete 8-bit noise, more audible if slowed down
41.288 - Hi-hat
1:45.212 - Loudest chime noise. Indeed it does echo until 1:46.355. If it’s too distracting, I can remove this note
2:04.564/2:04.717/3:21.364/3:21.517 - Background melody. In that case, I guess I missed two notes within 2:13.022-2:13.326 - to which I’ll fix
2:30.926/2:31.079 - Another background melody

Missing notes:
1:22.202 - Added. Also added a note on 2:49.098 on my own accord; please recheck this!

xXOpkillerXx:
31.841 - If you’re talking about 31.841/31.917 being a minijack, then them having different pitch prevents that. But if you’re talking about 31.917-32.069, then I just didn’t want a ~200 BPM 3-note 16th jack.
1:22.583 - It shouldn’t be on [2]. I put it on [1] b/c of PR based on the melody, not the static.
1:34.939 - There’s a triplet here? Elaborate
1:52.907-1:53.669 - Ok, I will change it. But instead of [34]2[13], I think it’s better PR-wise for the upcoming notes and one less unintentional arrow on the minijack noise if it was [34]2[14]
2:13.479 - Ok, changed it to [13] 2:22.469 - Eh, I’m open to suggestions on expressing 2:22.317-2:22.622
2:40.755 - The jumps are only at two hands as a result of how I stepped the 3-pitched 32nds at 2:40.755-2:41.174. If you can suggest a 3-pitched 32nd pattern that results in one-handed jumps, then I’ll take it.
3:03.841 - Applied
3:05.517 - Is it really forced even though it has the same [4] noise as 3:05.593?
3:11.841 - Changed the PR. Recheck 3:11.841-3:12.298 and 3:20.222-3:20.983
3:28.526 - Applied
3:44.450 - Changed the PR. Recheck 3:44.450-3:47.955 (especially 3:46.276/3:47.193)
3:45.441 - Applied

Will check this tonight!

Looks pretty neat. Here's some feedback:

1:34.939: My bad, probably typo and can't find what I was talking about. Maybe it's just fine now.

2:22.469: From 2:22.317 I'd suggest (13)243(12) because that 4 is so strong melodically + you then have (12) 2 (12) on the right hand after it which matches the drums.

2:40.755: See DMs.

3:05.517: I don't hear those being the same. I hear the synth doing a 12 23 melody on 3:05.441-3:05.517 -> 3:05.669-3:05.745. On the drums layer, 3:05.517 is higher pitched than 3:05.593. I'm not able to justify the minijack personally.

3:44.450: This note probably works better on col 1. The rest after it looks nice.

Applied most of Op's suggestions. For him, please recheck 2:39.841-2:42.736 and 2:58.888-2:59.803
