U - Knighted Servant (Velocity & Gradiant) [7/10] -FR-

PERMS OK
SYNC OK

[FR] The layering is quite unintuitive and inconsistent at times.

6.537: PR is actually low-high-low-high-low-high, which the next iteration correctly follows at 9.129.

26.907-43.204 [FR]: Layering here is quite confusing. While it is clear to me what the 16ths go to, the fact that it goes back and forth between layering the 12th and the 16ths breaks the flow significantly during playthrough. Would highly suggest layering all 12ths since they're so prominent relative to the subtle 16ths swing (which could be kept too or removed entirely, although for difficulty consistency it might be good to keep them).

45.241 & 48.204: PR is wrong here, should be the same as the preceding 16ths triplet, just like the intro at 0.426.

1:05.889: This 32nds triplet actually starts on 1:05.842 (and ends on 1:05.935). The gap to the following 16th is clearly audible and goes somewhat hand in hand (musically) with the gap at 1:06.630.

1:09.407: Missing note.

1:14.130: Seems like either this is a ghost note, or 1:12.648 is missing.

1:30.704: Ghost note.

1:34.870: Ghost note. Inconsistent with 1:34.130 and other iterations.

1:49.870-1:51.722 [FR]: The layering here looks quite incoherent. Not sure what the jumps are following at all.

1:50.426: Ghost note? Jumps should be on the 12ths most likely, see the comment on 1:49.870 though.

2:06.907: Should be a single.

2:07.000: Should be a jump.

Fun chart. Quite a few inconsistencies here and there and PR is a bit lacking, but nothing that needs drastic changes. The relatively tame layering makes the rhythm changes pop quite well which is nice.

0.241 - No jump?
17.092 - Intentionally not putting jumps on these 8th violin kicks?
49.778-50.426 - Intentionally not putting jumps on these kicks?
53.204-53.450 - I get that it’s following that one piano noise, but it feels so awkward without that PR.
54.130 - Missing note
1:05.055 - Why jump? Compare 1:04.315.
1:05.518 - Ghost note. This is not a noise that’s part of the current melody being stepped.
1:05.981 - If this note is for the current melody, then this is a ghost note. You’re missing the noise at 1:05.842.
1:10.796/1:12.648 - Missing note
1:30.704 - Ghost note. No noise here at all.
1:34.130/1:42.255/1:42.370 - Missing note
*1:50.241-1:51.352/2:06.167-2:07.092 - What is going on with the layering here?
2:10.611 - Missing note

>>Layering is different, yet consistent in each section. CQ/FR* for the two weird-looking sections.

> 1:49.870-1:51.722 [FR]: The layering here looks quite incoherent. Not sure what the jumps are following at all.

I... don't know.

If Gradiant was in charge of the section of "26.907-43.204 [FR]" and "*1:50.241-1:51.352/2:06.167-2:07.092", then he should be the one to answer this.

Applied fixes based on notes.

Nah, that part was mine, I just can't remember exactly why it was done like that. Pretty sure it had something to do with the choir but I completely bunged up the timings on it.

A new chart file was uploaded with the following changes:
----------
Note Count changed: 1431 => 1461
AVG NPS changed: 9.95594 => 10.16466
Hand Bias changed: 33 => 21

Changes are satisfactory. Moving to Accept.

While the layering is still slightly flawed in the main offending sections according to both judges, the changes are sufficient to make these sections enjoyable and intuitive enough.

If you decide to revisit them, I will be happy to take one final look. Otherwise, you may leave it as is.
