The Golden Age Of British Dance (Randy Marsh) [1/10]
>Permission good (Blanket)
>Sync needs work (see notes)
>Folder contents, metadata good

(Playtest Impression, 1.0x Rate) A few good ideas hidden in here, but the sync needs to be fixed first.

The sync is completely off. It’s relatively close, so I can only assume you made this without a waveform-based editor (eg ArrowVortex).

This is a slightly tricky song to sync, even with ArrowVortex, as the BPM appears to drift ever so slightly as the song goes on and the vocals don’t always cleanly align with any particular beat. ArrowVortex has a built-in sync functionality that works for most constant BPM songs. The first choice it gives is pretty accurate, and most likely good enough for this file. It’s a good place to start in terms of actually making a synced file, though you will still have to fine tune where you place notes to the vocals. Those should be easier to pinpoint with the help of the waveform’s peaks.

Aside from that, I like the idea of building up the vocal layering (making jumps and hands to the vocals) as the countdown goes on. With better execution (helped by proper sync) this could be really good. I also like how the very end was done here, very appropriate to end with the colours and the burst like this.

Can’t accept this, but there are a few signs of promise in here! Don’t be afraid to join the FFR Discord to ask questions and get some additional tips or feedback on this or other files you make in #simfiles

>Perms and metadata good.
>Initial sync is off. Changed the initial offset from 1.631 to 1.687. Notes will be based on the new offset.

2.767-10.940 - Recheck your jump/hand layering. Looks like Additive Layering (which means, one sound = one arrow; two sounds = jump/two arrows; three sounds = hand/three arrows).
17.954-18.951 - A bunch of missing notes in this region.
19.076/20.076/22.085 - Ghost note
22.211 - Could be at least a jump. Two sounds here (Piano + Vocal).
23.476 - Should be jump
23.984 - Should be hand
24.873 - Should be moved to 24.916
26.646 - Ghost note
27.025-30.039 - This entire vocal section can improve on its sync.
31.037-38.793 - Intentionally ignoring to layer in the vocals, eh?
31.037-42.850 - Recheck the jump/hand layering on this entire section.
43.103-43.833 - The sync could use some work here.

>>The BPM change at the start was unnecessary, but the BPM change at the end with the distorted noise was a nice touch. The file’s sync is weird; are you using AV or DDream? Well anyways, this file is not acceptable at its current state, but it’s pretty close!
