Long have I waited to submit Tandava to FFR and, while I couldn't get permission for that song, this one follows in the same spirit. Alas, fewer 280 bpm JS bursts, but the chordjacks are all there :)

Probably best not in a tournament because this will definitely entirely ruin someone's week if you put it in one. But hey, your call.

-[01:16.194] Ehh, not overly fond of red colorization here but okay.

-[01:53.160] Really wish this continued to catch the 8th here, since that’s where the orchestra cuts out.

-God damn. When a casual (myself included) thinks of ‘chordjack’ I’m usually thinking loud, intense sounds that would merit consistent usage of jumps-to-hands, and this song choice narrows the bill perfectly, and it is very opening to casual players as well despite there being a lot of undertone instruments that were not stepped for difficulty. I think this would make a great chordjack addition for people experiencing the skill for the first time.

Dragon Castle (hi19hi19) [7.5/10, CQ]
>Perms, metadata, sync good.

18.979 - This noise doesn’t sound like it’s part of the minijacks. Consider changing the jump pattern to something like [12].
23.979 - Why hand?
31.604-31.729 - Should be minijack
*32.979-40.729 - Seems overlayered with the jumps (especially with some of the 16ths jumps). Strings are jumps and horns are hands definitely, but should you really put jumps on the quiet background noise as well?
40.979-43.604 - Technically, the jumpjacks (and the later handjacks) are more AABA (where the A would be [24], and B would be [13]) instead of the current AAAA. Now whether this is noticeable to hear or not during playtests… probably fine as is.
52.979-60.479 - Be sure to step the singles found between all these chords (e.g. 54.354, 56.354, 58.354, etc)
54.104 - What sound/mix of sounds equate to a jump within 52.979-68.479? So far, I see it’s not always the kick, according to this spot here.
54.729/58.729 - I noticed the hands usually went to the hi-hat sound, but these hands don’t. Why? What sound/mix of sounds equate to a hand within 52.979-68.479?
64.354 - Should be single (not kick, not hi-hat)
77.410-80.910 - The jump-layering could be reduced in this section. The music isn’t intense at the moment.
*97.410-112.910 - See note on 32.979-40.729.
109.660/110.410/111.285 - Why hand?
110.660/110.910/111.910 - Why not hand?
112.910-113.410 - Could step stuff here
122.410/122.785/123.160 - These hands are offsync.
126.535 - Should be single (no drum)
129.910-130.160 - I don’t think it’s 3 jumps, it should only be 1. The horn sound is only played once, at the spot of 129.910.
142.285 - Why hand, and not jump?
154.948 - Sounds closer to 154.880

>>Mostly solid chordjack file. Just check Asterisk’d parts.

Double-check on this, since it's been a month without a CQ update. Will give it 2 weeks. If still no response afterwards, this will be moved to rejected.

Looked through these notes and tried changing the asterisk sections, but the difficulty curve felt terrible and it destroyed the feel. If you want those sections changed I'd prefer to just reject the file.

Alternatively, if it's okay to leave the asterisk sections heavily layered, I can submit something when I get back from vacation on Wednesday?

I think they just asked to double-check asterisk'd parts, so if you have a readied explanation as to the layering in that fashion/feel as-if changing it would break the momentum/flow/structure of the file, then that should clear the CQ requirement.

Okay I will submit fixes asap then. Thank you for the response.

Any luck on those fixes?
