Bashing His Head (ositzxz369) [7.5/10]
>Permission good (sigh)
>Sync good
>Metadata, Folder contents good
Consensus among myself and other judges suggests it'd be worthwhile to reduce the volume of this .mp3 by about -2.0 dB. Not going to CQ it for this, but it'd be generally appreciated.
5.002/7.805/10.607/13.410/lots of repeats - no note? Compare 6.404/9.206/... basically just looking for consistency on this until new section around 31.876
26.071 - jump?
37.281 - frankly surprised these aren't colour notes but okay
41.685 - for better overall representation I would suggest playing around with 24ths here so it's not just straight 300 stream. I'd replace the 32nds from: 41.685-41.885, 42.085-42.686
53.095 - similar 24th suggestion to contrast with 54.096
89.071/all others like it - This is one especially grating pattern. Left hand essentially ends up needing to play (almost) a 24th oht if you can't manip this out as jumps/hands. My suggestion is to keep these patterns more like 86.569 where the jump is on one hand to reduce this feel. On the other hand, these miiiiiight convert to be "hand-able" (hopefully each within 1 frame) in game so this is definitely a subjective note to consider.
This could use some touch-ups, but I'm not really listing many errors here. I think it's fine. People are going to hate this no matter what. I already do, but I have no good reason to deny it's existence in the game.

- 0:05.002, 0:07.804, 0:10.607, 0:13.409, ect. This buzz is inconsistently charted throughout the file. some places like 0:06.403 and 0:09..206 it gets a 32nd but other times it doesn't and i hear audible difference between them.
- 0:21.697 seems to be a ghost note.
- 0:29.073, 0:31.876 Having these bursts as 32nds feels wrong to me. the 16th lands after the "silence" starts. Even tough you've been avoiding them, i dont think having theses bursts as 48ths instead would be a bad idea.
- 0:41.384 This jump feels out of place with the rest of the jack. This note sounds distinctly different from the rest, so i feel it would be best to either move the other jumps, or change this to a single note.
- 0:48.691 the timing for this note feels off. I think it should be moved closer to 0:48.682 similar to note at 0:44.262
- 1:25.067 It might be worth moving this jump as to not conflict with the jumps at 1:25.568. Since these jumps are for different sounds and are so close together, i think having them on different jumps is important.
- 1:26.569 no matter how many times i listen to it i just cannot comprehend the rhythm here. Its probably accurate but my brain refuses to agree with anything.
- 1:45.185 similar to 0:41.384 this jump does not fit in.
- 1:52.292 there is a bit more swing in this note and the 16ths in the pattern should be a bit earlier, this is especially noticeable with 1:52.492. This also occurs at 1:55.094
- 1:56.695 to my ears this 1/4 trill sounds a 64th too early.
- 1:58.497 I know you've been simplifying all the bursts to 32nds, but this times its just so obviously not that i cant ignore it. Considering how marginally faster this is, i think it would be best to just chart it accurately.
Its venetian snares alright. outside of my brain being physically unable to comprehend some of it, you get what you'd expect. I'm sure many will just love those ending 32nds. pretty solid file.

I disagreed with most of both judges’ notes EXCEPT FOR THESE:
Trumaestro:
89.071/etc – Gotta mix it up! Plus, I don’t think the OHTs on the whole swingy ending is too much of a spike at this BPM.
110.077 - I reduced the loud noise by -10 dB instead.
Storn42:
21.697 – There’s no ghost note here. There’s not even a note!
1:25.067 – Agreed
1:56.695 – Agreed
