To judge: I deliberately omitted a number of hi-hat sounds and in many cases chose to select only interesting hi-hat rhythms or prominent ones. Stepping all the hi-hats would result in a more monotonous, continuous stream.

You're my hero [7/10]

Permission / metadata good

Offset is slightly off and should be 0.754 -> 0.773 all timestamps will reflect this change

- 2.471 -> 2.462 (Keep the bpm at 106)

- 9.538: This sound is a bit quieter than the other jumps before it. I suggest making this one a single.
- 10.422: This should be a 48th, but I would honestly approximate this to the 4th, or include the 48th and make it a grace, since the most important part of the sound starts on the 4th.
- 12.934, 15.104: These jumps are jumps because of flute + hi-hat, but both are very soft sounds. It sounds a bit underwhelming for a jump to me.
- 17.462: I feel this jump is especially underwhelming
- 18.594: This loudness could be represented with a hand

- 19.443 - 22.273: This honestly saves the chart for me, this is both really fun to play and really nice to listen to.

- 35.481: Missing jump to kick + vocals?
- 40.011: ^

- 40.387: Move this 4th down slightly to 40.404 (Bpm 106) (lock the 24th before it to 40.298 with a sub-beat)
- 41.536: Move this 4th to 41.530 (Bpm 106)
- 50.021: Move this 4th up slightly to 50.015 (Bpm 106)

The jump usage is somewhat hard to follow in the second half, but the whole thing plays nicely. You emphasised the right things, but the song itself is just a bit boring to me. I wish this had a funky solo or something to make it more interesting. This is obviously pretty subjective, but I feel this song is too bland to give a strong accept.

Score is not final, second judge will update the song status with the final rating.

You're My Hero
--------------
- Permissions, metadata good.
** Sync is pretty early, change offset -0.188 -> -0.207. Timestamps given with this change made.

- 9.169: Different from surrounding [23] jumps, use different columns.
- 10.431: Please use subbeats or bpm shenanigans to move this into place--as is, it's 35ms offsync.
- 31.150, 35.678: Missing notes.
- 60.490, 78.603: Missing piano note.
- 63.603: Missing jump (vocal + snare).

Pretty cute intermediate file overall. I like it, though I do worry that the longer and denser 24th runs at 19.452 and 93.603 are a touch spiky. They should be fine (and are definitely acceptable) but you may want to consider some minor reductions, such as making the one at 93.603 less reliant on one-handed trilling. Sync does need a fix before acceptance though. [8/10 CQ]

GUYS I DON'T USE DDREAM WTF IS A SUBBEAT

Was reached out in DM's to put a time extension for CQ fixes, so just leaving this note here to say that has been noted on my end.

A new chart file was uploaded with the following changes:

Offset changed: 0.378 => 0.366

AVG NPS changed: 6.78911 => 6.80879
Hand Bias changed: -14 => -16

M0nkeyz:
Offset is slightly off and should be 0.754 -> 0.773 all timestamps will reflect this change
- It took a while before I figured out that your timestamp was referring to the first arrow instead of the song's offset value. I checked the waveforms and fixed this.

9.538: This sound is a bit quieter than the other jumps before it. I suggest making this one a single.
- doesn't feel right. It's really clearly a chord (perhaps this is due to my piano background, but it seems fairly obvious)

10.422: This should be a 48th, but I would honestly approximate this to the 4th, or include the 48th and make it a grace, since the most important part of the sound starts on the 4th.
- I changed it just to a 4th.
EDIT: actually changed it to a 48th, because as a 4th it actually feels super off. This will go more in line with Pizza69's recommendations.

12.934, 15.104: These jumps are jumps because of flute + hi-hat, but both are very soft sounds. It sounds a bit underwhelming for a jump to me.
17.462: I feel this jump is especially underwhelming
- This is just the differing philosophies in stepping that we have, and if you're a sound-based stepper (based on the volume of a given sound), that would make more sense. Feel free to point these things out but do at least acknowledge that the suggestion is based on a different philosophy. If I reviewed a file based on the way you're recommending, my own philosophy would suggest it's underlayered/incomplete. I'd say "I personally would do this or that but I see where you're going with the way you've treated this song as a whole" etc.

35.481: Missing jump to kick + vocals?
- Yes you're right, thx.

40.011: ^
- This one I think I approximated on the 8th as the jump where vocals are.

40.387: Move this 4th down slightly to 40.404 (Bpm 106) (lock the 24th before it to 40.298 with a sub-beat)
41.536: Move this 4th to 41.530 (Bpm 106)
50.021: Move this 4th up slightly to 50.015 (Bpm 106)
I don't use DDReam so I don't really follow any of this, but if this is about syncing discrepancies within the song, I think some approximations are fine.

----------

Pizza69:
9.169: Different from surrounding [23] jumps, use different columns.
- doesn't sound like it to me, seems to be the same chords

10.431: Please use subbeats or bpm shenanigans to move this into place--as is, it's 35ms offsync.
- changed the first arrow to a 48th. Checked the arrows in this region, seems to be more or less on-sync now.

00:31.150, 00:35.678: Missing notes.
- hear it on the first one and fixed that, don't hear it on the second.

01:00.490, 01:18.603: Missing piano note.
- this I don't hear at all.

01:03.603: Missing jump (vocal + snare).
- this is sorta interpretive on what you count as a vocal note. I think I put more emphasis on the words being spoken. It's more interpretive if I decide to step lingering/residual vocal sounds.

Looks fine.

Sorry this got stuck for as long as it did; Looks like it was delayed in-favor of trying to finalize slots for the Official Tournament, according to the dates of posts.
