Manhattan Lover (bmah)
>Perms, sync good. METADATA is questionable b/c there’s a .DWI file in the folder (consider removing that).
>No jumps on every kick/clap/snare? This is what I call... an “additive-layering” file. I also see that you’re not stepping literally every noise. I have no problem with both of these stepping choices btw.

2.128-8.128 - Additive layering. The 2-note swing, synth, and clap are each worth 1 arrow here.
9.228/12.428/15.628/18.828/22.028/25.228 - Missing sax note
9.328-14.528 - Sax, clap, and synth?
10.528-10.628 - Change from [13]2 to just the [1] on the 4th (only a Clap here)
14.928-27.328 - Sax, clap, synth, kick, and maybe robot noise? If so, then layer the rest of the notes with more jumps in this section.
23.928 - Why is this a hand, and not a jump/single?
27.328-38.528 - Why is “What it look like” not getting the non-glutty jumpstream treatment like “Anybody wanna be a damn MC?”
30.428/36.828 - This arrow should be a white note. “Put it here.” This arrow here represents the “it.” It looks like the main male vocalist gets the colored notes and everyone else gets the white notes.
31.727/33.528/38.128 - Should be white note. You did this previously on 9.328-9.527/etc.
43.728-44.328 - Please balance the left-hand bias on this jumpglut section.
46.528-46.928/48.128-48.528 - Not stepping the spacy synth within these sections?
47.428 - Missing jump (vocal + synth)
47.828/48.428 - Missing note
50.528 - Should be single (vocal)
51.861-52.128 - Instead of 1234[13], do 4123[14]
52.328 - Should be jump (sax + kick)
52.628 - Missing note
53.028 - Ghost note
53.328 - Is this a hand b/c “kick + vocal + synth”? If so, then fix 56.528, 59.728
53.328-66.128 - Might as well put white notes on the female vocalist.
65.128 - Unfortunate that you can’t do a moan jack here due to your current layering scheme!
68.028 - This arrow should not be part of the [1] jack. It’s a different pitch.
69.128-70.328 - Opportunity for a burst pattern
69.528-70.328 - So you’re not stepping just the sax anymore?
71.028 - Missing note (sax)
71.328 - Missing note (clap)
71.878 - Ghost note
74.128 - The noise on this jump is diff pitch, so it should be away from the [4] jack
74.728 - Technically shouldn’t be a mini-jack (it’s more [12]3 than [12]2).
75.728-76.628 - So sax, kick, female vocal, and electronic beep noise is being stepped here? If so, then 76.478 is a missing sax note.
81.628 - Should be white note.
91.728 - Kick, synth, robot voice.
93.428 - Missing note (robot voice)
93.828-94.028 - Shouldn’t these two jumps be singles? It’s just the robot voice.
94.394 - I think the robot voice note is actually at 94.428
97.228/103.628 - Missing note (robot voice)
104.928 - Shouldn’t this be a hand as well? Screech + Record Scratch + Clap.
108.527/110.428/114.928 - Missing note (record scratch)
109.728 - Missing jump (kick + record scratch)
110.527-110.928 - I think a non-symmetrical pattern would be more appropriate here.

>>Interesting layering choices throughout the song, but the layering choices aren’t being applied consistently throughout as well. Also maybe take out the .DWI file in your folder. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO APPEAL YOUR RATING. (assuming that your final score is 6.0-6.5) [6.5/10]

Manhattan Lover (bmah) [8/10]
>Permission good (2012 BOF event)
>Sync good
>Metadata good, Folder contains .dwi file
>:flushed:/10

14.931-27.728 - not sure how this section is layered. A straightforward jumps on kick/snare isn't strictly followed. Looks ..addititve..? Fix if your intention was the straightforward kick/snare, otherwise leave it; overall it plays just fine.
27.728-28.928/+several repeats throughout - new section, new layering questions. My best guess is "using jumps to synth and kick unless that would create a trip/quadlet" ..?? It'd explain why 28.628/28.828 isn't a jump. Again somehow it plays well but looks weird.
46.528 - arguably this noise fills in the 16ths to 46.928. The 8th in particular is somewhat noticeable. (Subjective, can leave as is)
48.128 - I'm going to guess this should be a jump
70.828 - arguable missing sax note
88.428 - missing 32nd flourish starts here
108.528/114.928 - missing scratch note
110.461 - syncs fine on the 16th

I don't completely understand all the layering decisions throughout this one, but it's one of the most fun and ...horniest... files I've played in a long time. I'm willing to overlook the weird layering solely because it is that gad dang fun. Some little touch-ups would be good too though.
