Black Chocolates
----------------
- Permissions, sync, metadata good.
- I feel like the jump usage in the intro (i.e. before 18.482) is a little too heavy for its own good, but it plays fine.
- 18.482: Seems much more deserving of a hand than 18.765.
- 55.558-72.539: It looks like you're following the melody here, but there are a fair few ghost notes in that case--55.841, 56.973, etc. and 56.619, 58.883, etc. aren't part of it and so shouldn't be included.
- 92.916-100.841: I don't have a clue what the jumps are going to in this section tbh.
- 167.209, 167.492, etc.: Why no jumps here?
- 183.482: See 55.558 note.
- Not too much to say about this one--it does what it sets out to do. Some layering decisions seem obscure and/or inconsistent, though, and while I struggle to articulate exactly what feels off about it, I don't feel the patterning is tailored to the song quite as well as in some of your other jumpstream submissions like Moonearth and Strangeprogram. Black Chocolates [6.5/10]
Sync = good
metadata + permission = good
-1.289, 3.553 etc: There are alot of beeps here, I feel they're tied to the 4th and aren't worth a 16th note. I do understand why you're stepping them and you're consistent with it, but I don't agree the 16th should be there.
-19.968: What do these jumps represent?
***20.251, 21.383, 22.515 etc: I can't hear these 16th's
-45.982: I like how you represent the slowdown here
***55.841 - 72.539 and 183.482 - 200.463: If you're following the melody here the 4ths at 55.841 and 56.973 etc. are ghost notes. You're also missing 16ths at 55.911, 56.053, 57.043 and 57.185 etc
-138.199: I understand you're mirroring the pattern here, but why do you start mirroring it at 139.473 as opposed to something like 140.463 when the music sequence is completed and starts looping?
-139.756: This jump is lower in pitch than 139.897 which is higher in pitch than 140.039 and has the same pitch as 140.322, I'd like to see this reflected more in the pattern here. A C B A B would be more accurate for example
-151.501: Why is this a hand, but 160.558 isn't?
-230.109: I understand why you're not stepping these 16th's as jumps anymore for this section, but I still think this sound on the 16th is way more prominent than the sound on the 4th that follows, I would make the 4th after it a single so you can make the 16th a jump (pretty subjective note tho)
I think FFR absolutely needs high level JS files and I know for a fact there's a demand for them. Definitely look at *** for inconsistencies and missing notes. I would have probably CQ'd this one with the old judgement rules, but I think this requires fixing before making it into the game.

Thanks for the notes, both of you. I appreciate them.
Pizza:
18.482 - I think the bass is stronger at 18.765 compared to 18.482. There is a bass kick at 18.482, but I don't think it's heavy enough to justify triples.
55.558-72.539 - Fixed the first half of each one of this... the second half I thin kthe doubles muddle the rhythms a bit too much here. Completely agree with what you're saying though. Same with the second chorus.
92.916-100.841 - These go to the vocal samples in the song.
167.209/etc. - Toned down the jumps usage here because the background rhythms are weaker and this was one of the more reasonable ways of toning down the rhythms without omitting 16ths.
M0nkeyz:
I'll address the first conditional more comprehensively since I think this is really relevant to how you're assessing these kinds of files; a lot of the Sharpnel charts that I've sent (and including cheatreal) are dumps -- many of the 16ths present in the charts are ghost notes. This includes the points in the first conditional.
In that sense I think they're very different from files that you would conventionally judge on FFR, because I think you'd have to judge them less from a literal point of view and more of whether the patterns work in the context of the song holistically rather than a micro level. I think files like this have generally been accepted in the FFR community for at least a couple of years now (FREEDOM DiVE, thinking of you, Serious Shit, Moonearth, etc.), so I think there is a good level of appeal to this approach even if it's not necessarily the most faithful to the music.
I feel that, as charting conventions become less lax to following music in a more literal sense, I think judges should also be more open to less literal approaches to charting as well. But I also understand if you feel that this still does not feel faithful to the music; it might be better to delegate your opinion to someone else by then, unless you really strongly feel that the chart should not be accepted.
With that said:
1.289/etc. - Think we might agree to disagree here heh. I think the beep lasts too long to really follow it through 8ths alone.
19.968/etc - These go to the more prominent snare notes of the rhythm. There are 3 snare sounds here, but the first 2 are the most audible.
55.558-etc. was fixed, as it was also mentioned in Pizza's notes.
138.199 - I feel that an A-B-A-B approach is more ergonomic overall compared to a A-A-B-B approach, but I think both are applicable and depends on the effect that you want to convey. Given that the patterns are strictly mirrored, they're kinaesthetically more or less the same, it's just that the latter option creates more tension than the former, and I wanted to have a less tense section here since it's supposed to be a break.
139.756 - Did something here to follow what you have in mind, not exactly that though but it has descending pitches.
151.501 - Fixed, thank you.
230.109 - Difficulty spikes are the concern unfortunately, this is one of the hardest parts of the chart, and adding extra jumps would make it much harder than it already is.
