Alexandrite [8.0/10] CQ

Permission / metadata good

***Sync is quite a bit off, offset 1.482 -> 1.521
all future timestamps will reflect this change.

- 1.521 - 12.492: Why are all these jumps based on column [1]? I feel there is more opportunity for PR if you vary it up a bit.

- 33.235: This jump should be different from 33.749 since they're not the same pitch.
- 34.435: These 8ths being jacks makes this play very similarly to 32.035, but it's very different in sound. I'd like a different pattern for this. Maybe follow PR for this section?
- 50.206: Could emphasise this with a white note, completely subjective though obviously.
- 52.092: Missing note to the piano?
- 69.406: Maybe put this on [2] instead, so it doesn't form an anchor with 69.235 so 68.721 - 69.235 is more congruent with 67.349 - 67.864
- 71.978 - 72.321: Are actually 24ths instead. However I don't mind if you keep this as 16ths.
- 75.464: Why jacks?
- 86.035: From speaking to you I know you're not a fan of grace notes, but I think turning this 8th into a 8th + 12th would be a really nice touch for the 'droplet' sound.
- 88.435: This should be a 32nd on 88.349.
- 89.121: This should be a 4th on 88.949.
- 89.806: This should be a 32nd on 89.721.
- 90.664: This should be a 32nd on 90.749.

I'd also like these last two 32nds to be on different columns.

86.206 - end: The song is drifting out of sync, I'd like to see this fixed, there are sub-beats there so you may want to do it manually.

Chart mostly repeats from this point on and my earlier notes apply here too.

Sync issues and some patterning choices aside I think this chart is great, and what a fantastic song too. Easy accept for me, CQ for the sync issues though.

Score is not final, second judge will update the song status with the final rating.

-----------
- Permissions, metadata good.
** Sync is significantly early, change offset 0.110 -> 0.149. Timestamps given with this change made.
* There is also some noticeable drift in sync, implying the song is not exactly 87.5 / 175 bpm--by the end of the chart it's 12ms offsync.

- 15.235-15.406, 17.978-18.149, etc.: Why are these minijacks?
- 16.949: Missing note.
- 28.606: I don't hear 24ths here, but I do hear both 16ths and 12ths.
- 41.121, 125.806: Jump feels conspicuously missing here.
- 53.463: Suggest another [14] jump since this features the same percussion as the previous jump. Sort of two different simultaneous anchors.
- 56.806: You did not follow this at 51.321, suggest removing.
- 61.521: This being attached to the column 4 anchor and being the same jump as 61.178 feels too homogeneous for what the song is doing.
- 64.949: Perhaps [13][12] for PR?
- 66.321 section, 129.578 section: This jumpstream feels weirdly left hand (in particular [12] jump) heavy. I wouldn't say it plays *badly*, and I understand you're using those [12] jumps for a specific purpose, but it does feel a little odd to play. Perhaps allowing [34] jumps as well as [12] for kicks would help balance things. There are also some oddly long anchors in places like 68.721 and 74.206 which contribute to the feeling.
- 75.463, 138.549: I get wanting to put emphasis on this sound, and again it doesn't play badly, but these aren't actual minijacks, so I'd recommend using minitrills instead.
- 97.178-106.435: I don't understand the vast majority of these minijacks.

Pretty good overall, fun file. The sync needs a fix (CQ on that) and I advise thinking about the 66.321 note in particular, but I think people will enjoy this one. [8/10 CQ]

Commenting to double-check and see where things are at with this. It's been over a month since the last post and not much communication about it. If there's no response in 2-ish weeks, then I will assume that it can get submitted for a different batch in the future when fixes are applied.

Moving this to rejected so that it doesn't get lost/stuck in CQ. When you get the chance to cover fixes, please re-submit this song & chart to an active batch.
